Case #2 Discontinue Letter of Credit #211 for Street Assessment on Lots

6 & 8, Block 7, Countryside Estates, Request for; Case of Mr. Lee
Hennen:

Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to
authorize Mr. Lee Hennen to provide a Certificate of Deposit in the
amount of $3,697.24 which will be made out to him and the City of Ramsey.
Further, that the Certificate of Deposit will be for the period the above
agreements are in effect.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox,
Reimann and Van Wagner. Voting No: None.

Case #3 Alternate E.ner.gy/Ener.gy Conservation at City Hall:

Mr. Berg - Changing of thermostats in firebarn that will set to a lower
temperature should have been included in my memo to City Administrator
Schnelle dated December 31, 1981 regarding energy conservation.

Council consensus is to have Councilmember Cox and City Building Official
Berg organize a committee to investigate the alternatives available to
make Ramsey Municipal Center more energy efficient.

Case #4 Boiler Problem at City Hall:

Council authorized Mr. Berg to proceed to get a new boiler installed at
Ramsey Municipal Center and to get the piping changed as recommended by
Honeywell, Inc.

Case #5 Lease Agreement .Regarding the Rental of City-Owned Farmland on
the Former Raudio Property:

Motion by Councilmember Van Wagner and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg
to approve of lease agreement between the City of Ramsey and
to rent City-owned farmland as described in agreement for the 1982 growing
season at a rate of $500 to be paid in the following increments: $250
payable in January of 1982 and $250 payable in September of 1982. Further,
to authorize the Mayor and City Administrator to sign said agreement on
behalf of the City of Ramsey Further, that if for some reason the
City stands in the way of the crop being harvested, the total amount will
be refunded.

Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Sorteberg, Cox,
Reimann and Van Wagner. Voting No: None.

Case #6 Metes and Bounds Subdivision of Outlots Owned by Mr. Raudio and
Obtaining of Drainage Easement Rights Which the City Needs:

Mr. Raudio - As far as I am concerned, it is a question of economics. I
am opposed to the cost of platting and do not want to spend another nickel
on these lots. I have no use for the lots and do not want to stand in
the City's way to resolve a drainage problem.

Mayor Gamec - I think that maybe this is a case where we should defer from
ordinance and subdivide by metes and bounds.

C/January 12, 1982
Page 7
