Councilmember Schlueter noted that RYAA encounters more problems because it
<br />is operating on a volunteer basis.
<br />
<br />Councilmember Reimann stated that ~ lot of the programs are spin-offs from
<br />what children are getting in school already.
<br />
<br />Councilmember Schlueter stated that RYAAdeals mostly with sports and the
<br />community school program deals with all ages and those children who are not
<br />so involved with sports. The amount of money spent for the total program
<br />budget is not all that much. Councilmember Schlueter then inquired as to
<br />who sets Mr. Hadley's salary.
<br />
<br />Mr. Hadley replied that is salary is set by a fiscal agent and the School
<br />Board and went on to make the following statements:

<br />Special Events - 2,000 + participants
