Elaine Gilbertson moved to suspend further action on <br />the plat of Carter Valley until written notification of its ac- <br />ceptance by Ramsey Township is received." Mr. Hopperstad moved <br />we accept the Carter Valley plat as recommended by the Planning <br />and Zoning Commmission: to make an outlot of lots 7, 8, 9, lO~ ll, <br />12, 13, and l~ in Block l; lots ~, 5, 6, and 7 in Block l0 to be <br />designated for park as they are adjacent to the park we already <br />have in Brookview Estates plat; and that the present road be closed <br />from 17Oth Ave. N.W. and Helium St. N.W. on the south going north <br />to 172nd Ave. N.W. and Germanium Street. The balance of the money <br />would be in cash. Also that the new City of Ramsey would have the <br />first opportunity to purchase the outlots when the time comes that <br />the developer wants to sell them and if the owner wants to enter <br />into an agreement with the Township or City. Seconded by Mr. Nel- <br />son. In view of the fact that we do not have the dollar and cent <br />amount for the balance of the park fund to be paid in cash, Mr. <br />Hopperstad withdrew his motion. Mr. Reimann moved we table this <br />plat until we can calculate the value of the land and a definite <br />exit out to Highway #47 is determined. Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. <br />Motion carried, <br /> <br />Mr. Neilson asked if the Township would advise them as soon as <br />we have made a decision on the amount of money to be paid for <br />parks. The owner can save himself a lot of money by furnishing <br />the acreage of each lot. Mr. She stated the developer could do <br />this himself without going through the engineer. <br /> <br />Dog Catcher: Mr. Cox stated the Board had received a letter of <br />resignation from the dog catcher, Mr. Walton, after about a three <br />hour visit from Mrs. Oliphant. Mr. Hopperstad stated that as long <br />as Mrs. Oliphant had been working on the dog problem, he moved <br />that she find a person to replace Mr. Walton at the same rate of <br />pay. Mr. Reimann stated we should not accept Mr. Walton's resig- <br />nation and that someone else should go out to talk to him about it. <br />Mrs. Oliphant stated she had not asked him for his resignation. <br />A lady in the audience stated Mrs. Oliphant had suggested Mr. Guy <br />Walton get a high school boy to help him and that this amounted to <br />the same thing. Mrs. Oliphant stated Mr. Walton had lied about <br />the matter. Mr. Hopperstad's motion died because of a lack of a <br />second to it. Mr. Hopperstad withdrew his motion. Mr. Hopperstad <br />moved we not accept Mr. Walton's resignation and. ask him to stay on <br />as dog catcher. Seconded by Mr. Reimann. Motion carried. We will <br />write Mr. Walton a letter and Mr. Nelson will go out to see Mr. Wal- <br />ton. <br /> <br />Mr. Pittman stated there is a rumor going around the Township <br />that he had purchased a lot for $3,500 and sold it for $3,000. <br />Ail indications were, from the information he had received, that <br />he had gotten the lot from a builder for nothing. Also the rumor <br />stated he had been accepting bribes and that he had shown partial- <br />ity to some builders. He wants the Town Board Members to know <br />that he never bought or sold a lot in Ramsey Township and that <br />all builders have been treated alike. Mr. Cox stated <br /> <br /> <br />
