Business License: Mr. Goodrich read some of the various forms <br />of businesses covered by ordinances in other communities. Dis- <br />cussion on this proposed ordinance. Mr. Goodrich will have the <br />ordinance ready for the Aug. 19th meeting. <br /> <br />Proposed police ordinance will be taken up at the next meeting. <br /> <br />Berg Oil Co.: Mr. Hopperstad moved the Town Board resolve that <br />the Town of Ramsey accgpt hereby from the City of Anoka Lot 2~ <br />Auditor's Subdivision 9b in Anoka County, Minnesota and that it <br />is hereby the desire of the Township of Ramsey to have said lot <br />become a part of Ramsey Township. Seconded by Mr. Nelson. No- <br />tion carried. The attorney was authorized to prepare the proper <br />stipulation to be signed by the Town Board of Ramsey and the City <br />of Anoka, which document will then be filed with the Minnesota <br />Municipal Council. <br /> <br />Mr. Reimann made a resolution that the man made hole on 151st <br />Lane in Menkveld's Pineview Estates, Lot 3, Block 8 be filled <br />by the owner within 15 days from the date of notification. Sec- <br />onded by Mr. Nelson. Notion carried. <br /> <br />City of Anoka: Mr. Nelson moved that we write a letter and reso- <br />lution hacking up the City of Anoka requesting the Minnesota State <br />Highway Department to get bids on the Ferry St. and Main St. in- <br />tersection remodelling as soon as possible. The State has indi- <br />cated the money for this work is available. Seconded by Mr. Hop- <br />perstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Community School recycling program: The school program wants a <br />cheap van placed at seven schools. These would be filled with <br />barrels into which highschool or junior highschool children would <br />sort recyling materials that children would bring to school. These <br />materials would be picked up and the money would first go to the <br />young people doing the sorting and anything that was left would go <br />to the school. Mr. Cox said he would check out the U-Haul Co. on <br />this situation. Mr. Ed. Klemish has a van body he will sell for <br /> $100.00. <br /> <br />Merle Mevissen: Mr. Hopperstad moved we pay him two weeks vacation. <br />Seconded by Mr. Reimann. Notion carried. <br /> <br />The County has ten paid holidays. Mr. Reimann said Merle does not <br />want time and a half excepting if he has to go out on Christmas <br />Day. Mr. Hopperstad moved Merle would get one sick day per month <br />but not to accummulate to over 12 week days; $21.00 per month to- <br />wards his hospitalization; effective date September l, 197~. Sec- <br />onded by Mr. Nelson. Motion carried. <br /> <br />We do not have a full board. We would not have needed the legis- <br />lation for a five man board. A recently elected board member was <br />not present for this meeting and had been absent at other meetings. <br />They are wondering if there was a serious lack of interest as far <br />as the responsibility to the constitutents was concerned.
