Merle~ Mr. Goodrich will get the information on what benefits the <br />County employees are receiving doing the same work as Merle. <br /> <br />Park Board Report.- 8 parks have been mowed, corner posts installed, <br />Hunter's Hill has a sandbox, Riverwood Hills will have ball parks <br />and has two benches , Shawn Acres has a sandbox, Deerwood 3 posts, <br />Ford Brook, 1 bench, a sandbox and picnic table, Whispering Pines <br />large l& posts and a sandbox, Brookview Park, posts and cleaned up, <br />and Peltzers Park, a sandbox, picnic table and a grill. <br /> <br />Mr. Nelson met with officials from General Mills about leasing some <br />of the land they own in the western part of our Township, about 1200 <br /> <br />acres belongs to them. They had said they would be happy to .lease <br />to us when the present lessee moves off. They have no specifxc plans <br />for several years, five or ten. They want the Board to write them <br />a letter as to what specific use we wish to put the land ~.They also <br />want to know what use we plan to make of the house on this property. <br />They do not want the cat tails mashed; also no guns. We would have <br />to mark all entr-mces and exits. Ail trails must be marked. They <br />want us to pay the taxes which are in excess of $6,200. They want <br />us to specify they would be free of. any liability. They also want <br />us to zone this land ind~trial now. If the Township leased it, <br />possibly we would not have to pay taxes. <br /> <br />Mrs. SChneider stated Mr. Archie Doroff was interested in being our <br />Weed Inspector. He works in Minneapolis b%~t . is home by four p.m. <br />every day. Mr. Nelson stated Mr. David Pehlke had done weed in- <br />specting for us before and is willing to do it again. Mr. Murphy <br />moved we appoint Mr. Pehlke as Weed Inspector. Seconded by Mr. <br />Nelson. Motion carried. We will send Mr. Eng a letter stating we <br />regret his resignation and thanking him for the fine job he did for <br /> <br />Mr. Menkveld spoke about the eight acres he had requested to be <br />rezoned on Highway No. ~? at l$gth Avenue. He stated the Building <br />Inspector said there would be no problem with a sewage syst.em. He <br />said the business would front on l~gth Avenue. Mr. Nelson moved <br />this rezoning request be denied due to the majority of people in <br />this area not wanting it, the high water level, and the traffic <br />problem that would be created on Highway No. ~7. Seconded by Hr. <br />Hopperstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Menkveld said he <br />this property in the near <br /> <br />plans to <br />future. <br /> <br />present a residential plat on <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Muller requested a 3.2 beer license for a supermarket <br />he is putting in on HighwayS7 at 167th Avenue N.W. Mr. Hopper- <br />stadmcved we recommend to the County that this be approved, a 3.2 <br />beer license for Mr. Muller's store. Seconded by Mr. Nelson. The <br />motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Fleischer asked about the rezoning of property from residential <br />to commercial on Highway No. ~ at the Y of Highway No. ~7. He was <br />told the Board would like more property included when the public <br />hearing on this is held so we will not have to have several hearings. <br /> <br /> <br />
