- 2- G.&R.5/30/7~

About 165th Avenue, who is going to be buying the sewer, Ramsey
or Grow Township? Mr. Schneider said he would guess the trunk
would be on the Grow side. Caswell said it would possibly come
on the west side of Grow. ~

Question: What is the assessment procedure for Grow Township?
Mr. Schneider said he thought it would be assessed to the property
owner. He said they did not get State aid for roads off the County
Roads.

Mr. Rogers feels we would have sewer 'and water in ten to fifteen
years.

Coon Rapids has petitioned for annexation up to Bunker Lake Road.

Bob Dillon: What would police and fire portection be in these com-
munities after the incorporation? If the budget will carry it,
after the incorporation they may go to two eight hour shifts.

Grow has a seven man crime bureau commission.

Don Anderson: Russell Addition: They have a comprehensive plan
but it is so new that hardly anyone knows anything about it. It
has been presented to the Town Board for their review and then
to the Metro Council for their review and that takes about 90 days.

Mr. Schneider asked those presen~who lived in Ramseybut on the
east side of the Rum Rive~ to vote on whether they would like to
go into Grow Township or stay as they were. Six said they would
go into Grow and 15 wanted to stay as they were. They said they
had no problems as things were going now and that Ramsey was doing
a real good job about taking care of things for them. They like
things the way they are now. Now 60.10% of the tax goes to the
schools, 21% to the County and .8~% of the tax dollar goes to the
Township.

Dean Lips: Rrnat is Ramsey position on the Metro Sewer?
Answer: We have a plan but it has not been reviewed as yet.

If they stay in Ramsey and Ramsey does not have sewer, is it not
true that they w~uld not be bothered? How about these 20 acre
lots? Won't the people be taxed out of their homes?

Whether or not you have sewer, you are paying for it now.

What is the reason for changing it to the river boundary?
Public service in the area.

How much more is Anoka going to annex?
If we become incorporated, Anoka cannot annex any further areas.

The major reason for incorporating is to stop Anoka from annexing.

It is great to s~e two communities working together toward a com-
mon goal said Lyle Bradley.
