This matter was tabled until the work meeting. <br /> <br />Mr. Robert Dillon spoke about the property on the east side of <br />the Rum River where the fieldparty was held on which a youngman <br />was stabbed a short time ago. He said no effort had been made to <br /> <br />keep the public off this private property.' There is no fence or <br />any signs put up. He-said they had contacted Mr. carlson, the <br />owner, but that so far nothing has been done. They would like the <br />Board to make an effort to stop such activities in this area. He <br />said there was also some shooting going on over there which is also <br />illegal. They are not satisfied with the service they have received <br />from the Anoka County Sheriff's office. Also his tractor had been <br /> <br />damaged with shotfun shells. They requested that we contactthiMr's <br />Carlson about putting up some kind. of barricade to block off <br />area with railroad ties put deep into the ground. They would also <br />like Mr. Carlson to furnish the policewith a letter stating that <br />anyone coming onto this private property was tresSpassing. <br /> <br />Mr. Ooodrichwill draw up an ordinance about groups congregating <br />in the area. <br /> <br />Mr. Hopperstad moved that we accept the recommendation of'the Plan- <br />ning and Zoning Commission to rezone parts of the B-2 areas along <br />the Mississippi River back to the way it was formerly before the <br />new zoning ordinance wa8 passed that is 2?5 feet south of the No. <br />10 Highway is commercial and south of that to the river i8 resi- <br />dential r-1. Seconded by Mr. Nelson. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Chester: Insurance. He explained all of our insurance cover- <br /> <br />age including the umbrella.package, as follows: $395.00 for work- <br />mens compensstion deposit per year (increased bgnefits will raise <br />this by 8.80), $105 annualpremiumonumbrella,$850 package lis <br /> . <br />bility insurance for general liability andauto libability plus <br />property insurance on buildings, contents and autos, $85 for various <br />bonds. Mr. Hoppermtad m~ved we accept this insurance coverage up <br />to September 1975. Seconded byMr. Nelson. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. ~oodrichwill check withNr. Gesko about the firecontract. <br /> <br />Rodeo Hills: People were ~resent about two petitions which had <br />been presented to the May 6th Planning and Zoning Commission. A <br />log pile has been moved to'another area. Today they started fill- <br />ing in the area~bere they had been taking out the gravel. Mr. <br />Hall will take care of the mining operation within 15 days. The <br />log piles have to be taken care of by the next Board meeting. Mr. <br />Hopperstad moved we ex~end the time for Mr. Hall to have the roads <br />in Rodeo Hills up to Township standards to the next Town Board <br />meeting, June 17th, providing the bond extends to cover this. <br />Seconded by Mr. Murphy, Motion carried. <br /> <br />There was also a petition to have the roads blacktopped. Mr. Sba <br />was asked what he thought the present cost would be. He said he <br />did not know but a guess would be $10.00 per foot. <br /> <br /> <br />
