Mr. <br />Springer and Mr. Nelson have gone out to look at equipment now <br />in use in other areas. <br /> <br />Mr. Eastman said they had put in creative play areas in some of <br />the other schools. Mr. Nelson and Mr. Springer will work with <br />the school people on this playground. <br /> <br />The Town Board meeting was called to order at 8:20 p.m. by the <br />Chairman, Mr. Cox. Present were Mr. Hopperstad, Mr. Murphy~ Mr. <br />Nelson, Mrs. Oliphant, and the Clerk, Mr. Peterson. <br /> <br />The minutes of the last stated meeting were read by Mr. Hopper- <br />stad. Corrections: Ham Lake City, Kathleen Anderson's term is <br />for one year, on last page 22,000 pound load limit for garbage <br />trucks is on designated roads and 18,O00 on other roads. With <br />these corrections Mr. Murphy moved the minutes be accepted as read. <br />Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Treasurer's Report: The books are not here as yet so we will not <br />have the Treasurer's report until next month. <br /> <br />The minutes for the Planning and Zoning Commission meeting were <br />read by Mr. Reimann. We need a parking ordinance for all year <br />round, not just for snow removal. <br /> <br />$35,000 is Ramsey Township's share of sheriff's costs. <br /> <br />Park Board report was given by Mrs. Schneider. <br /> <br />Mr. Reimann suggested leasing some property near the Town Hall <br />so we would not have to cut down any trees to make a larger park- <br />ing area at the Town Hall. This seemed to be agreeable to the <br />Town Board. The Park Board asked if they could name some of the <br />parks. We will check with Mr. Brenk of the County about some ad- <br />ditional help for the summer for the parks. The Park Board sug- <br />gested developers put up the signs for the parks. The parks <br />should be outlined so everyone will know whe~ the parks are. Mr. <br />Murphy moved we require developers to designate park land by mark- <br />ing the corners with treated fence posts not smaller than 5 inches <br />square to be ~ feet above the ground. Seconded by Mr. Nelson. <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Springer requested a small tractor for use in the parks with <br />a scoop, blade and mower. Mr. Hopperstad recommended that the <br />Park Board be authorized to check into such a tractor with a <br />three point hitch and power take off in the rear, a bucket and <br />loader. <br /> <br />We need signs for 1~ parks. <br /> <br />Mr. Bernie Stephens: discussed the hiring of a part time admin- <br />istrator to work in conjunction with our zoning officer. Mr. <br />Stephens made his presentation on a part time basis and on a job <br /> <br /> <br />
