- 5 - Pub.Hrg.3/~/?~

George Jedlicka: No. 5 was expanded to a 120 foot road. What
good is it now? They are driving 70 and 80 miles an hour on this
road. Suggest we resurface the present HM. 57 and Sunfish Lake
Blvd. and assess it back to the property owners. Let the junk
trucks pay for this road. It is supposed to be posted but this
has not been done. Trucks are going on it without being stopped
for weight check. We can't afford a police department to keep
track of these trucks to stop this misuse of the road.

Bob Ehalt: Can the home owners get detailed maps of this area?
Why doesn't Anoka pay for this road when they are collecting the
money from the landfill?

James McChesney: No matter how you go on this road you will be
defacing my property. I moved out of the city so I could have
trees. You will'taking so many of my trees. This road would be-
come a speedway. You will have the right-of-way on my front step.
He suggests they put that road over on Hy. #56.

John Thorne: A lot of people~ homes will be disrupted for the
convenience of the landfill. He suggeststhe landfill pay for the
road. There is a 30 mile speed limit on this road. If this was
enforced it would cut down the wear and tear on this road.

Walter Scroggins: We don't need a 120 foot highway on Sunfish
Lake Blvd. Why not redo the road the way Anoka did?

Roger Dickenson: Do you know just how close you are coming to
the houses and the bus garage?

Mr. Cox: We know something has to be proposed for the entire area
for future road plans. There will be one or more bridges across
the Rum River. There will be a future road that links Minneapolis
area with this area because many of our residents commute to Min-
neapolis. Osseo, Champlin and Anoka makes a bottle neck for traf-
fic. There will probably be a future bridge across the Mississ-
ippi. It may intersect with Hy. #57 or #56 area. Future thor-
oughfares are being planned at this time.

It was stated that No. 5 is a much safer road than it was. They
did a beautiful job in fixing the lawns. It is a beautiful road.

John Hubbard:
mate gripe?

What can people do if they feel they have a legiti-

Answer: These questions will be taken up with Mr. Lundheim and
Mr. Fields. Someone will be contacting you from the County. What
is the procedure from here on out? If the Township tells the
County to go ahead before a decision is made with the residents
on this road what can be done?

Mrs. Schneider: Would it be possible to get a price that could
be given to the people living on this road so people would know
what kind of assessments they would have? Answer: the prices
on 156th Avenue were astronomical, as well~ as the feasibility study.
