- 2 - T.B.2-19-7~

until after election so the new board members can discuss this
matter. It will come up at our May meeting.

Mr. Behr and Mr. Hornsby of the Anoka County Highway Department
were present. They went over our agreement with them concerning
Sunfish Lake Blvd. This contract describes the obligations of
the County and the Township with regard to the widening and up-
grading of Sunfish Lake Blvd. The Township is to pay for the land
which must be acquired for this project. They put a preliminary
plan for this project up on the wall so everyone could see it and
then proceeded to explain various aspects. The County will only
rebuild this road if it is widened to 120 feet because in order to
receive State aid, they require a 120 foot road. Therefore we must
acquire 60 additional feet. They said if anyone wanted to discuss
the road they would be welcome to call them at ~21-~760, Ext. 277
or come into the office to discuss it. Nothing will be done on this
road until the Township gives them orders to go ahead, in writing.
The work will be done in two segments. They would like to hear
from us about this road, as soon as possible, because they need to
make their plans to get started on it soon. We can get an estimate
of the cost by calling Ralph Kishel at their office and he would
also supply us with a list of the land owners along this road so
we can notify them about a public hearing which will be held on
this matter at 7:00 p.m. on March ~, 197~.

Mr. Perry: Wants a variance for hors~ on his property which he
has up for sale. The board discussed the matter. Mr. Perry asked
the Board to sign a paper drawn up by his attorney with regard to
the use of the barn on his property at 15200 Nowthen Blvd. N. W.
The barn is located five feet from his property line. The property
is 240 feet on Nowthen Blvd. and 209 feet across the back, contain-
ing approximately 5 acres. He is trying to sell this property and
said prospective buyers want to be sure they can use the barn for
horses. Mr. Cox moved that this property, which has been used for
maintaining and raising horses, may continue to be used for rais-
ing and maintaining, not to exceed 2 horses, and is not illegal
as such, as prescribed in our Zoning Ordinance No. 73-5 under the
present ordinance, subject to any future ordinance which may be
passed by the Township on raising and maintaining horses and sub-
ject to the question of being a public nuisance and also subject
to the local and state health department regulations. Seconded
by Mr. Murphy. Motion carried.

Mr. Lester McLaughlin requested a variance on his lot on Dolomite
Street per attached legal description. This lot was recorded
before 1968. It has 18~.23 feet on the street. In view of our
present requirement of 200 feet on the street, he needs a variance.
Mr. Cox moved we grant this variance on Dolomite Street to Lester
McLaughlin per the attached description. Seconded by Mr. Murphy.
Motion carried.

Thursday, February 21, 197~, there will be a special board meet-
ing at the Town Hall with the Board, Mr. Reimann and Mr. Sha in
attendance.

Airport Zoning.
