- 3 - T.B.10-15-

Mr. Hopperstad moved we make the following change in our Platting
Ordinance No. 8: Section 9.09, paragraph e. now reads" Minimum
Township road construction standards must be met for one year
after approval of the final plat at the subdivider's expense."
Change the words "final plat" 'to read "acceptance of the roads".
Seconded by Mr. Cox. Motion carried.

Vie have received a letter from the city manager of Anoka complain-
ing about people living in Ramsey Township who have been attend-
ing classes in some of the schools their children attend in the
City of Anoka but which are a part of our school district and
which classes are funded by the school district and the community
in which the school happens to be located. Our people would much
prefer to attend these classes in their own school here in Ramsey
Township but the school district has not seen fit to build such a
school here until recently. When our school is finished we feel
sure Ramsey residents will not be attending classes in Anoka.

Horses: Mr. Ed. Albrecht lives on 151st and Willemite St. He
has five acres. He wants to build a shelter for his horses and
for hay storage. Mr. Albrecht suggested a committee of both
people who like horses and people who dislike horses. Ham Lake
has horse trails and the County is encouraging this. Mr. Pittman
said this man kept his place nice and neat and took good care of
his horses and he was sure any building he put up would look nice.
IIe asked the Board if he could get a variance from the Zoning
Ordinance in this case and said he would bring signed letters
from people who lived within whatever area the Board specified
from the proposed location of this horse barn stating their feel-
ing about this project. Mr. Cox moved we grant Mr. Albrecht this
variance providing he brings these signed permission sheets from
anyone owning property 100 feet from his property. Seconded by
Mr. Hopperstad. Motion carried.

Mr. Gary Miller has started a pole barn 30x40 ft. on 4.7 acres
at 67~3 159th Ave. N. W. He has 8 horses on this land. The
Building Inspector stated that the roof on this building is sag-
ging and must be straightened up so it won't fall down on the
horses. This pole barn was started without Mr. Miller obtain-
ing a building permit and he was told this would qualify for a
fine under our ordinances. The Building Inspector said a build-
ing permit could not be issued until this roof is straightened
up. Mr. Cox moved we grant him a variance provided he brings
the building up to the requirements of the building inspector
and provides the variance as indicated. Seconded by Mr. Hopper-
stad. Motion carried.

Mr. James Boltin, who lives in Section 15, said real estate
salesmen are telling prospective buyers that there are no re-
strictions on having horses in Ramsey Township. Mr. Raudio said
he thought it was the rapid growth out here that was causing this
misunderstanding. Mr. Barrel Falk suggested we send a copy of
our zoning ordinance to the board of realtors.
