- 5 - T.B.9-17-73 <br /> <br />have the money to build this road. Mr. Cox said that just a <br />feasibility study on a short piece of road cost a great deal of <br />money. Mr. Goodrich said he thought we would run into some law <br />suits in trying to put through this road. Mr. Cox stated he could <br />appreciate the problem of Mr. Specht and Mr. Menkveld, but we just <br />do not have the money. <br /> <br />Mr. Ed. Fields, Commissioner for the County, requested the designa- <br />tion of County Road No. 57 and Sunfish Lake Blvd. as a State Aid <br />Road. The County will acquire the land if Ramsey Township will <br />pay for the land needed to bring this road up to County Road stand- <br />ards. The County will do the surveying and pay for the.surveying. <br />Mr. Cox said we should put a dollar limitation on the cost for this <br />road and that it should not exceed $10,000, and an accounting shall <br />be provided to Ramsey Township. Mr. Hopperstad moved we accept. <br />this Joint Powers Agreement on Sunfish Lake Boulevard with the County <br />Highway Department. Seconded by Mr. Cox. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Walquist was present with a drawing of the marina he is putting <br />in on an island and the north side of the Mississippi River across <br />the highway from the Tec. Center. He asked if the dead trees that <br />had possibly had Dutch Elm disease could be buried there. He was <br />told this would be fine. There will be a camp site at this marina <br />location also. They expect to be building this over a period of <br />five years. <br /> <br />Reilley Estates Plat: Mr. Neary presented this prelimlinary plat <br />with 13~ acres and 113 lots with 17.3 acres for parks. Discussion <br />on the possibility of 153rd Avenue going across the Rum River at <br />the bottom of this plat. Stipulation was required that the houses <br />by 153rd Avenue face away from this road. Mr. Cox moved we accept <br />this preliminary plat of Reilley Estates with the provision about <br />the houses on 153rd and their compliance with the report from the <br />engineering company. Lots 8 and 5 of Block 11 and lot 3 of Block <br />10 is to have the houses built on the northerly half of the lot <br />and lots 6 and 7 of Block 11 have a 65 foot setback on 153rd Ave. <br />Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Rum Acre Estates: Preliminary plat brought in by Mr. Neary with <br />33.76 acres and 26 lots. They will put up a permanent bond for <br />the completion of a 66 foot street to go out to 155rd if such a <br />road is ever needed. Mr. Cox moved that Rum River Acres Estates <br />preliminary plat with street name changes as specified and com- <br />pliance with Consulting Engineer's Diversified Inc. be made, be <br />approved. Seconded by Mr. Hopperstad. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Ordinance to change area required for a mobile home. Mr. Hopper- <br />stad moved this ordinance be passed. Seconded by Mr. Cox. Dis- <br />cussion.
