I
:1
I
I
I
I

I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

Curry & Associates proposes to develop e plan for implementing word processing
to supplant some manual activities for the City of Ramsay. This effort will
be accomplished through a aeries of tasks performed by the consultants. A
management review of administrative operations will include word processing
needs associated with the following activities:

General Government
- City Administration/Word Processing

- Accounts Payable/Receivable

- Payroll

- Special Assessments

- Planning and Zoning (Community Development)

- Budgeting (Fixed Assets, CIP, Annual)

- Inventory Systems

- File Naintenance (Property, Licenses, Permits)

- Public Safety

- Public Works

- City Council and Boards or Commissions

During the course of the study, the consultants will collect information re-
lated to current operations by interviewing employees, obtainin9 samples of
reports, documents and forms and by observing operations associated with the
functions listed in the precedin9 paragraph. The focus of the study will be
on the application o~ word processin9 techniques to 1) reduce the cost of
operations, 2) improve the productivity of existin9 functions, and 3) reduce
tedious redundancy in the production of correspondence, notices, and reports,
file date entry and storage/retrieval.

The alternatives evaluated should also provide the City with a growth path
which enables migration to the use of data processing as the needs arise.
