JOHN FITZGERALD: <br /> <br />Due to some technicality, the metes and bounds subdivision of Lot 2, Block <br />2, Whispering Pines Estates Plat 4 still has a problem. Therefore, Mr. <br />John Fitzgerald will be available at your meeting to address this issue <br />and let you know exactly what language he needs in the minutes to correct <br />this problem. <br /> <br />This issue has been previously approved. <br /> <br /> Council Action: Your action will be to authorize a metes and bounds <br /> subdivision of Lot 2, Block 2, Whispering Pines Estates Plat 4 with language <br />: · as specified by Mr. Fitzgerald. Voting yes ~ <br /> <br /> CASE t3: PROPOSED EXPANSION FOR ~ALTEK, INC.: <br /> <br /> Ackerson Building Corporation has submitted both a site plan and building <br /> plans for a proposed expansion at Waltek, Inc. However, according to the <br /> Building Official's review, both the site plan and building plans are <br /> inadequate for the issuance of a building permit. <br /> <br />The Building Official's report on this matter and his letter to Ackerson <br />Building Corporation dated August 17, 1983 are included as enclosure (D3-b) <br />for your information on this matter. <br /> <br />U~s more detailed plans a're received, no action will be necessary. <br /> <br /> CASE <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~TILIZATION OF MINNESOTA EME~GENC~ EMPLOYMENT DEVELOPMENT ACT (MEED): <br /> <br />Enclosure (D3-c) contains a letter from Anoka County dated July 29, 1983 <br />briefly spelling out the MEED Act and asking if we want to participate. <br />Accordingly, I have spoken to Ms. Jan McGue, the County project coordinator, <br />and we can use this program to Ramsey's benefit. <br /> <br />I have taken this to the Economic Development Commissioh for their comments <br />and they have recommended that Council pursue this program. <br /> <br />I will cover this more in depth at the meeting, as there are other things <br />that will be tied into this issue. <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to note that the MEED Act is available <br />to the City of Ramsey. As stated above, we will cover this more thoroughly <br />at the meeting.
