-6- <br />Regular Council <br /> · '9/13/76 <br /> <br />Mrs. Joann Soyette, 17855 Erkium said she went to talk to Mrs. <br />Odegaard, she had never met her and wanted to see for herself how <br />many dogs were there and how they were taken care of. <br /> <br />Mrs. Odegaard told her she had approximately 27 dogs, 3 puppies, <br />one sold to people and two to sell. Mrs. Odegaard is thoroughly <br />convinced they are doing nothing wrong. <br /> <br />Mrs. Soyette said the dogs make a sound that is sort of a singing <br />and she can hear them inside and outside of her house but not from <br />her bedroom, however she sees where it would be very aggravating. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Gorham, seconded by Councilman Mickelson to <br />adopt Ordinance 76-4 amending Ordinance 72-6. Carried 4 to 1 <br /> Oliphant abstained, due to la~.k of time <br /> to review the amendment <br /> <br />Plaque for Mrs. James and Mrs. Guy's name plate. <br />Clerk Peddycoart read the quotation on prices and was instructed to <br />order the plaque and name plate. <br /> <br />Virgil Johnson, property status. <br />Attorney Goodrich reported that today is the twentieth day and Mr. <br />Mevissen informed him that both buildings have been demolished however, <br />Mr. Johnson cannot burn at this time because of the burning ban. <br /> <br />Administrative Assistant position status. <br />Councilman Gorham Said they interviewed four applicants and narrowed <br />it down to one. Council met with him and indicated a salary and he <br />was to answer Friday and at that time he indicated he would not accept <br />the position for that kind of money. (Gil Bremecker) <br /> <br />Mayor Cox asked if the personnel committee had an opportunity to inter- <br />view any more applicants. <br /> <br />Councilman Gorham said one applicant from Stewartville would be <br />worth having an interview with. He spoke to him and he said he <br />could come on Wednesday for an interview. (Phil Nearson) <br /> <br />Mayor Cox asked the Personnel Committee to contact Garett Schmidt <br />for an interview. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox scheduled a meeting for 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 15, <br />to interview candidates. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox appointed Ro~er Me.yers to replace Mr. Backowski on Ramsey's <br />Economic Development Committee. <br /> <br />Klemish situation. <br />Attorney Goodrich said the bonding company has been notified. If they <br />don't reply within a certain amount of time we can order plans and <br />specifications to do the roads. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox deferred the August 23, 1976 regular meeting minutes until <br />Wednesday, September 15, for approval. <br /> <br /> <br />
