-3- Council Special Meeting 9/15/76 convey property by metes and bounds in accordance with Ordinance 75-5. Property located at 17705 Nowthen Boulevard N.W. Motion by Councilman Gorham, seconded by Councilman Mickelscn to grant a variance to Arnold Cox to subdivide 4.59 acre tract into two parcels for the following reasons: There i~ a road on the east boundary line and it is surrounded by metes and bounds property with homes built on them at this time and this does not pose any future planning problems and it would not be feasible to plat this piece of property. Carried 4 to 0 Mayor Cox abstained Letter from Auditor, Haskins & Sells requesting authorization to do the City's 1976 Audit. Motion by Reimann, seconded by Gorham to hire Haskins and Sells to do the 1976 audit for a price not to exceed $2400.00. Carried 5 to 0 Renumeration for Lord of Life Church. Discussion held. No action taken. Mayor Cox suggested that the paster be contacted for an estimate on the cost for City use of the church for elections. Community School Discussion. Mayor Cox reported that he had talked with Jim Stewart, Director. They talked about the present program. He said he was surprised to learn that they were proceeding~ and trying to get the job done thinking everything had been approved by Council. It appears that Don Walker had indicated to Mr. Stewart that he had discussed it with the Council. Mayor Cox~said Walker had talked to him about it,and he had indicated to Walker that he had no problem with it but that Council should review the program to see if some items should be added to or deleted. Mayor Cox complimented Mary Hasset on the fine job she had done and thought she and the Community School dePartment could indicate to Council the areas that could be added to or taken out. Mayor Cox also said that was his understanding and that was where it was left and as he recalls the Administrative Assistant was to get back to Council on it. It is now time for a decision and to review other alternatives. Councilman Gorham asked if Mr. Stewart is coming to the next Council meeting because the 1976 fall program is something that would have to be included in the budget. Mayor Cox answered affirmatively. Motion by Cox, seconded by Gorham to enter into the fall Community School Program as presently is being conducted at $1975.00. Carried 5 to 0 Discussion took place. Mayor Cox noted that the plan was to have a program primarily for youth. He asked Jim Stewart if piano lessons were available. Jim Stewart hadrepl±ed that it is no problem if enough persons are interested and that this is the kind of suggestions they like to hear.
