-3- <br /> 12/22/75 <br />Council Meeting <br /> <br />Motion by Oliphant seconded by Gorham to authorize the expenditure <br />of $450 for the police department to purchase the handi talkie. <br /> Carried 5 - 0 <br /> <br />Building Inspector/Assessor Report. Building Official, Robert <br />Casper reported two building permit applications for the month <br />of December for single family homes. He asked permission from <br />Council to employ Sue Thompson to assist him in the assessing <br />process. Council requested a meeting with Mr. Casper scheduled <br />for Wednesday, January 7, 1976, at 5:00 p.m., to discuss the <br />assessing process. <br /> <br />Street Report. Administrator Walker read the street report for <br />the month of November. <br /> <br />Planning & Zoning Report. Regarding the Planning Commission <br />applicants, Mayor Cox stated recommendations should be submitted <br />to the Council by the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br /> <br />Park & Recreation. Minutes of the Park & Recreation meeting were <br />read by Administrator Walker. The hockey rink is finished except <br />for some additional flooding and children are skating on one end <br />of the rink now. <br /> <br />Personnel Committee Report. Councilman Gorham reported that he <br />an~t Councilman Reimann met with Administrator Walker to review <br />all full time City staff. There were no problems reported, at <br />this time. Conclusions from the meeting: 1. the office is now <br />starting a time card system, 2. Mrs. Thompson is finished on a <br />part time basis, but may work in the future if she desires and <br />if there is a need, 3. a more detailed record keeping system is <br />bein~l developed, personnel files are being kept on each employee, <br />4. a probationary period review of the employees performance an~ <br />work habits will be made and submitted to the Council. Councilman <br />GOtham added that the Personnel Committee should review Administrator <br />Walker also prior to the completion of his six month probationary <br />period. <br /> <br />Administrator Walker reported his first priority is to set up the <br />bookkeeping system effective January 1, 1976, and secondly, to <br />submit a monthly financial statement to Council, a budget anaylsis <br />to keep them informed of the financial situation. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox announced the passing away of Mr. Guy Walton, the City's <br />do?] catcher. He asked Administrator Walker to contact Mr. Walton's <br />son to see if he is interested in taking over the dog catching for <br />Ramsey. Mayor Cox also announced that Marge Heinrich passed away <br />this past week. <br /> <br />Mateffy Engineering was present in the audience and requested to <br />be heard from the floor. Mr. Les Mateffy introduced his associates <br />Clinton Wood and Howard Mateffy. He said they had some questions <br />for the Council. <br /> <br /> <br />
