12/22/7 <br />Council Meeting <br /> <br />1. Ramsey's overall position in regard to the CAB proposal~ <br />when will individuals be requiring sanitary sewer service and <br />other facilities? 2. Ramsey's overall general guidelines so <br />they can present a feasibility study proposal to Council. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox replied that sewer would not be anticipated in the <br />City for at least four or five years. He said that if Council <br />were to request a feasibility study, they would first have to <br />obtain some comparisons from different firms. <br /> <br />Administrator Walker said Council should establish a particular <br />need and time on this feasibility study. He added that the City <br />is presently involved in an Urban Planning District Study. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox directed Administrator Walker to report back to Mateffy <br />Engineering at a later date when the City is ready for a study of <br />this type. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox announced that Mr. Ron Jerich was in attendance to present <br />the keys to the new squad car. He thanked Mr. Jerich, Chief Auspos <br />.and the police reserve for their effort on the fund raising project <br />on the acquisition of a new City squad car. <br /> <br />Mr. gerich reported they are still $795 short but thought they could <br />raise the additional money with another fund raiser this Spring. <br />Mr. Jerich expressed his thanks and appreciation for the effort of <br />everyone in the community in this project including business estab- <br />lishments, scouts, school children and commended the police reserve <br />for the tremendous job they are doing and for the useful service <br />they provide to the community. <br /> <br />Motion by Gotham, seconded by Mickelson that the City mail a certi- <br />ficate of appreciation to Mr. Jerich for the commendable effort in <br />leadership of the police squad car fund project. <br />A~]ministrator Walker suggested that he write a resolution commending <br />Mr. Jerich and have it printed in the paper. <br /> Carried 5 - 0 <br /> <br />Mr. gerich presented Attorney Goodrich with a Viking's autographed <br />football and a $100 bill for his winning tickets which he purchased <br />at the spaghetti dinner for the squad car. Attorney Goodrich donated <br />the football to the Heinrich children. <br /> <br />Fire Bills. Administrator Walker reported on the outstanding <br />fire bills, reporting some success in collecting and others still <br />being worked on. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox suggested Administrator Walker put a note in the newsletter <br />to alert people to the fact that they should carry a rider on their <br />insurance policies to cover fire protection. <br /> <br />League of ~,~ Municipalities Membership. Motion by Gorham, seconded <br />by Oliphant that the City of Ramsey join the League of MN Munici- <br />palities for the 8 month trial period at a cost of $63~.00. <br /> Carried ~ - O <br /> <br /> <br />
