At first we could have our own <br />program during the school year and go along with the Community <br />School in the summer. <br /> <br />Cushman, representing the Home Owners Assoc. : They would like <br />to have some type of childrens recreational program. <br /> <br />Gary Reimann spoke about the development that has already taken <br />place at a number of our parks. We have someone living in our <br />community who directs childrens and other hockey programs and he <br />is willing to do this for us. Mr. Cox said we should have some <br />way of advising Mr. Stewart as to what we are planning on doing. <br />Mrs. Oliphant said we should have a five year program. She thinks <br />we should have the Community School for this coming year. 1~~. <br />Gorham proposes hiring a CETA person to go out to work in our parks <br />under the direction of the administrative assistance. Mrs. Oliphant <br />thinks we should have something worthwhile to offer the residents <br />for this year. Mr. Gorham thinks the adults in our community should <br />be willing to work in such a-program. <br /> <br />Cushman: He feels we should work on our own parks. <br /> <br />Mr. Cox said we have a County Park of which many people are not <br />aware. The whole loop of the Rum River in the northeast corner <br />is a County Park. One person could work both with the parks and <br />the recreational program. <br /> <br />Mr. Gorham moved we inform Mr. Stewart we are very interested in <br />meeting with him concerning his proposals for summer school com- <br />munity program for 1976 but at this time we are hesitant about a <br />full year Community School and that we are looking at a CETA per- <br />son for a program for the parks. Seconded by Mr. Reimann. Mr. <br />Cox, Mr. Gorham, Mr. Reimann and Mr. Mickelson voted yes. Mrs. <br />Oliphant voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Gorham thinks we should let Mr. Steffen talk to Mr. Walker <br />about his matter. <br /> <br />~ayment for Board of Adjustment~ Mr. Cox read the letter from Mr. <br />Oliphant stating the appellants will not pay the $90.00 fee. This <br />will be reviewed with the attorney before any action is taken. <br /> <br />Windsorwoods Plat: Dr. VanderPol discussed the scenic easement <br />requested on this plat. He presented a $200 check as down <br /> $1600payment <br />for the par~ fee, and a letter stating the balance of would <br />be paid by October l, 1975. The $200 pays the park fee for the <br />Ziegler and Burnison lots. The bond is for gravel and seeding. <br />Mr. Cox is in favor of accepting this park money arrangement and <br />not to issue any more permits in this plat until the roads and <br />park fees are taken care of. The record on this plat was in Oct. <br />15, 1973 minutes.
