- 5- c.7/28/75 <br /> <br />He ~aid he was using paint to mark diseased trees so that when <br />the leaves have fallen this fall, the diseased trees can be iden- <br />tified to be removed. He made 5 visits in May, 22 in June and 28 <br />in July for a total of 55 visits for 3 months. A 1975 leaflet is <br />out on the control of oak wilt disease. He will need several <br />hundred of these informational leaflets. Mr. Reimann moved we <br />purchase 300 of these oak wilt disease pamphlets ~310 Printed by <br />the U of M Extension Service. Seconded by Mr. Mickelson. Motion <br />carried unanimously. <br /> <br />.Mr. Bacon said people are asking if there is any program to help <br />pay for the removal of these trees. He works about 20 hours a <br />week on this project. He needs assisance for painting trees. <br />We will try to get him some help for painting the trees. Committee <br />on Personnel will review his salary situation. Mr. Bacon then <br />agreed to withdraw his weed inspection resignation until the Per- <br />sonnel Committee reviews it. He also said the chemical 2-~-5-T <br />should not be used in spraying on the United Power easements by <br />this company. We will write a letter to United Power Co. inform- <br />ing of this. <br /> <br />10:10-10:25 - Recess. <br /> <br />.Hematit~ Church;. ~r. ?ittman said Rev. Reed is out of town. He <br />will not be back until next week. Mr. Pittman visited the church. <br />They have the ramp from the parking lot to the church done. They <br />have the fireproofing done in the furnace. They have the materials <br />to finish other work. The only thing that they can't do is have a <br />6'8" clearance for the stairway but they can make it 6'~" which is <br />O.K. with the State Building Inspector. It was stated that Mrs. <br />Oliphant had been at the home on Hematite Street now being used <br />as a church, according to Rev. Reed. Mrs. Oliphant denied being <br />at the home. Mrs. Oliphant said she had talked to Lynn Clark, <br />the realtor, about the problem. Mrs. Oliphant thinks Mr. Pittmen <br />should be certified. Mr. Pittman will have the complete report <br />at the next meeting. Zoning Certificate for this church can be <br />issued by Mr. Pittman. <br /> <br />VirEil Johnson: He has not made the repairs requested. Mr. Pitt- <br />man will make a report on this place to determine whether it is <br />repairable to Mr. Goodrich. <br /> <br />Robert 01iphant vs Astrid Guy as Clerk of City of Ramsey and in- <br />dividual - lawsuit. Mr. Goodrich stated that this suit against <br />the Clerk is not covered by our insurance. Mr. Reimann moved <br />our attorney be authorized to handle this matter and to represent <br />the Clerk both individually and as clerk. Seconded by Mr. Gorham. <br />Mr. Cox, Mr. Gorham, Mr. Reimann and Mr. Mickelson voted yes. Mrs. <br />Oliphant voted no. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Donna Nelson vs Mayor Cox, Councilmen Reimann and Mickelson. Mr. <br />Goodrich stated that this suit is not covered by our insurance. <br />Mr. Gorham moved_ our attorney be authorized to handle this matter <br /> <br /> <br />
