Five ayes~ no nays. Motion carried~ DoL, Ordina~ce: A general discussion was had by the Council regarding the :p~-O'~O?;~c~'¢[-~(~i~ ordinance as prepared by ~he Dog Committee and whether or not the Cou~cil should adop~ it or make certain revisions %o ~:he present ordinance. It was determined by the Council that ~he City Attorney should insert in the present ordinance the kennel language from the propo~ed dog ordinance, also ~he time which a dog mus~ be kept before destruction should be changed from 7 days to 5 days, ~he vaccination language should be changed to include a requirement for distemper sho%s, and ~o include language covering both cats and dogs for rabies and distemper vaccinations. No formal action.on this matter was taken by the Council. Approval o:(: Bills: Mr. Reimann moved to approve the bills as presented ~J[:[]~-':t]~"-~)~J~-i%'~-i'~[ of Atlantic Tire, Bob' s Bear Alignment. Seconded by Mr. Mickelso'n. Five ayes, no nays. Motion carried. At i:h'i:; 'i:ime~ since it was 11:00 p.m. the Council agreed to continue '[:he meeting to cover 'the agenda. Road a~.d ]'~rid?~e Committee~R_eport: Mr Mickelson asked if Merle Mevisson ](ad~ s~"L.3~'e][TM s Qacat~_on ~'~~ las~ year; and could he take it this year? Mr. Steffen indicated that the City had no such policy last year and further that if we do give one person a week's vacation for last year~ then we will have to do it for all the rest of the employees. it t,.za:~ decided that Merle Mevisson has no vacation coming from last year. Mr. MJcke].son reported a request by the maintenance people for a 20 x 48 rear extension cold storage area at an approximate co:~t of $2~2[)0. Merle Mevisson was directed to get quotes. There was some discus:~io'~:, a:; to whether this should be a heated facility. Merle MevJ:~:~on was then given permission and directed to get quotes on a cold ~;torage f~.~uility as well as a heated f.acili~y. Also there was discussion re~arding switchi~g of doors and the estimated cost in the maintenance buildi.ng. 3
