Mr. Gorham said the, police expense is running far ahead.of where <br />it should be. Mr. Ausposwill be giving the:Council~a monthly <br />report. There will be a meeting with the police, at the. City Hall <br />on June llth at 5:00 p.m. to consider thepolice expenses. <br /> <br />ark Depar~ent= They had.a very successfultree-program.on May <br />Oth. There now are satellite toilets in~.Peltzer andBrookview <br />Parks from Memorial Day thru LaborDay- Mr. Chapmanis::doing the <br />mower in the parks not to exdeed $300 a month or $900 .for the <br /> <br />season., <br /> <br />Mrs. Oliphant reported on the .~lanning &.Zoning..She said they <br />were considering a new plat.on Higaway lo 'called Riverside West <br /> <br />scheduled for hearing on June 17th at 6:30.~.m. Mr. Pittman had <br />suggested land owners be contacted to see 1£ they would donate <br /> <br />right of way for the proposed, road thru the:industrial area. Mr. <br />Gotham thinks Planning& Zoning should se~up.a meeting with the <br /> <br />owners of the industrial, park, that if i~ is an industrial park, <br />it should have an over all plat and grading plan. Mr. Steffen <br />said the grading plan shouldbe set up before the. road is put in. <br />We will forward a letter' to Mr. Greenberg to present a.grading <br />plan prior to the road being _built. We will ask him. to submit <br />an engineering study on the area. Mr. Bullick asked what the <br />Council wanted fora roadway. His engineer doesn't want to go <br />anyfarther on Riverside West plat until.the,roadis designed thru <br />the industrial area. We will send a letter to Mr. Greenberg about <br />this matter. <br /> <br />Hrs. Douglas Hunter: Church.on He. ariSe.St. Mr. Cox asked Mr. <br />Thurston to report on the inspection with the State Building <br />Inspector and the Mayor on this location- Mrs. Hunger said the~e~ <br />has been an increase in traffic and the people from~this Church <br />are not paying any attention to their requests to slow down. Mr. <br />Goodrich recommended a traffic count on Hematite St. and, to place <br />a patrol on this road at times. We will che.ckthis matter out. <br />It will be placed on the agenda for the next meeting. <br /> <br />Review of _Do~ Ordinances_ Sec. 3. Mr. Gorham asked what their <br />thoughts were on this point. Answer= The Dog Committee felt :~ <br />the animal' control officer could.be given the':authority, to decide <br />on the fines.. Mr. Goodrich feels the officer should not be set <br />up as a Judge. Discussionon the proposed dog. ordinance.- Hr. <br />Gotham feels if the 1973 ordinance is implemented,~ this will take <br />care of our dog problems.. He doesn't feel: weneed anew dog or- <br />dinance. Possibly an amendment to our present, ordinance .will take <br />care of it. Discussion on instructions given for the ,Dreparation <br />of the amendment for the dog ordinance. Mr. Cox, Mr. Gotham, Mr. <br />Reimann and Mr. Mickelson agreed the instructionswere to check <br />into the number of dogs in. the community. Mr. Oliphant said he <br />thinks the Council should .thank the dog ordinance .committee for <br />the work they had done. Mr. Cox declared.Mr. Oliphant out of <br />order. Mr. Reimannthinks the Council should adopt, the amendment <br />as written by Mr. Goodrich. Mr. Cox asked. Mr. Re!menu to read <br /> <br /> <br />
