CETA Joint Powers Program: Mr. Stef£en saidtheamountreceived ~yBurns Township is too small.for them~touse, ie. $1915. ~:By this joint powers agreement, Burns T~wnship would,giveus their committal and we would give them services thru a recreation:.director or we give them back part of ou~future CETA funds. Mr. Gorh~m:moved we accept the proposed Joint Powers Agreement~ between. Burns Township and the City of B-meey as approved by our attorney. Mr. Reimann seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. Fulton: ~equest for rezoning~ oflots 6 and_7-in.Block l:of Golden e Estates. Mr. Gorhamsaid~this~was.approvedat~the~ime the Golden Eagle Estates addition was accepted. ,..Mr, Reiman~u ,move~ we rezone lots 6 and.7, Block 1.,'Golden.Eagle.Esta~es~to b-2 from r-1. Mrs. Oliphant objected saying it doesn't look like commercial and is not in accord with our present comprehensiveplau. Mr. Gorham said Mrs. Oliphant had said we must act on it and that we~nmst give them a decision. Mr. Gorhamsaid he.was.tired of having things dragged out for months. Mr. Cox said .Variolite Stree~ on whichthese lots are located, is a collector street. These two lots were designed to be commercialat the time the original plat was accepted.. Ques- tion was called. Mr. Cox, Mr. Gotham, Mr. ReimannandMr. Mickelson voted yes. Mrs. Oliphant vol'ed no. Motion carried. Martin V~ndree, 16207 ZirconiumSt. N. ~. Requests a variance for this address. At the time this subdivision ordinance was.passed, permission was granted to the developer.to se~-i these lots by metes and bounds.. Mr. Goodrich saidthere is no':~roblemwith granting this variance..Mr. Mickelson moved.we grant this variance for 16207 Zirconium St. N. ~. to become a part of this lot. Seconded by Mrs. Oliphant. Mo,tion carried unanimously. ~_~_~_was here with the p~pers for the bi-centennial grant. The City is in agreement .with forwarding ,these. bi-centennial papers. Mr. Gorham asked the Council if they were ready to:make .a decision on the liquor ordinance. If we go'municipal off sale, it must come before a vote of the people, no ~atter what .the. population, figure. o~f. Mickelson ~oved we adopt the.liqUor co.tree's recommendation split liquor, private on. sale~andmunicxpal~off sale. Seconded by Mr. Reimann. Motion carried.unanimously.
