Mr. Neary indicated he would put in <br />more restrictive covenants than are required by the Shoreline Or- <br />dinance. <br /> <br />Carter Valley: We have a letter from the surveyor in which he asks <br />this plat be placed on the agenda for the Mar. 2~th meeting for <br />the final plat. <br /> <br />Recess at 10:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Air Show: Mr. Duke Carlson represented.the Air Show. He wants <br />permission to have the air show at the airport on July 4, 5, and 6, <br />1975. He wants to use the City's snow fence and shut down some <br />of the roads at certain times duringthe show and also have a beer <br />license. Mr. Gorham asked what kind of liability insurance they <br />have for the air show. He stated the Rangers have very adequate <br />insurance for the show. It takes one year to clear the air for this <br />show with the FAA and they have that permission. It was recommended <br />they put a deposit on the snow fence and ~.posts. The airport has <br />replaced fence or posts that were damaged in the past. Mr. Gotham <br />said it was his understanding that this Council had committed them- <br />selves to let the Ramsey Lions Club have a beer license for this <br />event. Mr. Gotham asked Mr. Carlson if the air show would object <br />to the Lions Club having a beer license for this air show? Mr. <br />Carlson said they would.object because they need this revenue to <br />help pay for the cost of the air show. The Rangers have the hot <br />dogs, pop, etc. sales. Mr. Goodrich said two beer licenses could <br />be issued for the show. Mr. Carlson said he thought his:group would <br />object to two beer licenses but he could notspeak for them. Motion: <br />Mr. Reimann moved we allow the air show for July ~, 5, and 6. Sec- <br />onded by Mr. Gorh-m. Motion passed unanimously. The airport has <br />had extensive meetings with all law ~gencies concerned. The City <br />of Anoka wants extra remuneration for ".their policing work because <br />of the air show traffic. They do not plan to block any roads until <br />the ~ets come on. Motio~r~ Gorhammove~ we allow the airport <br />people to use the snow fenCe and posts with a $100 deposit, the de- <br />posit to be returned if not needed. Seconded by Nr. Nickelson. The <br />motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Beer License: Fee is $16.75 for one month or partial month. Mr. <br />Reimann said he would like to see both the Lions Club and the air- <br />port people granted a beer license at $16.75 each. Motion: Mr. <br />Gorham moved we grant the Lions Club a beer license for July ~, 5, <br />and 6 for the air show. Seconded by Mrs. Oliphant. Motion carried <br />unanimously. Motion: Mr. Gorhammoved the airport people be denied <br />a beer license. Seconded by Mrs. Oliphant. Mr. Gorham and Mrs. Oli- <br />phant voted yes. Mr. Reimann, Mr. Cox and Mr. Mickelson voted'no. <br /> <br />Mr. Kay Nelson suggested the Rangers might share some of ~their money <br />with the community and not spend it all outside the City, and said <br />the Lions are willing to share the beer license with the airport. <br />Mr. Carlson stated if the airport group did not have a beer license <br />that the air show 'would not be put on because they could not pay all <br /> <br /> <br />
