Motion: Mr. Reimann m~ved we grant <br />the air show people a beer license at $16.75 fee 'for July 4, 5, and <br />6, 1975. Seconded by Hr. Mickelson. Motion carried unanimously. <br />Mr. Cox stated that if there are any problems with these two beer <br />licenses on the first day of theshow, the Council will hold a meet- <br />ing to decide whether the show will go on on July 5th and 6th. The <br />Council feels the Rangers could increase their ticket fee a quarter <br />to help pay for the extra policing needed. Mr. Goodrich will check <br />this out to see if this can be done legally for future air shows. <br /> <br />Proposed Reserve Unit: Mr. Auspos gave each of the Council members <br />a written proposal on implementing a policing plan, dated Mar. 1, <br />1975. It would cost $223 per person for equipment. Motion: Mrs. <br />Oliphant moved that the Council grant Mr. Auspos the authorit~ to <br />~ommence solicitation and training of 12 officers for a reserve unit <br />for the City of Ramsey and that the City will furnish funds for the <br />necessary equipment and uniforms, not to exceed $2,500, by June 15th. <br />Seconded by Mr. Reimann. Motion carried unanimously. <br /> <br />Mr. Steffens said we should formalize the police department prgced- <br />utes. By June 1st the hourly pay for Mr. Hansel should be $5.63 per <br />hour. At the next meeting he wants to review the police procedures. <br />Mr. Auspos said Mr. Anderson is drawing up the report for the work <br />Mr. Hansel has done in getting the police ears put in such good shape. <br />Discussion on swearing in of the police officers at the next meeting. <br />The Clerk was given 5 insurance company checks representing body <br />work payments. <br /> <br />Anoka International Sales & Service: Variance Request: Request on <br />variance to place proposed building in line with the building which <br />is already there. Motion: Mrs. Oliphant moved we issue building <br />permits for the two buildings prop~eed to Anok~ International Sales <br />& Service, one of which is 40xlO0 and one ~6x138, the first one to <br />be located toward the west line of their property and the second one <br />to be located east and west directly to the rear of the existing <br />offices and motel buildingd~nd that these permits be contingent on <br />the fact that the owner put in adequate screening along the back <br />area of the property to completely block off the residential area; <br />(2) that they take measures to clean up the property and that the <br />property is to be inspected by the building inspector; (3) The 66x _ <br />138 building to be used for se~r~.'ci~g trucks, etc. and 40xlO0 build <br />ing to be used for cold storage, (4) clean up and screening to be <br /> <br />done first, all contingencies to be completed before issuance of the <br />building permits. Motion died for lack of a second. <br /> <br />Motion: }ir, Gotham moved we grant a variance on the building mora- <br />torium which took effect-Feb. 12, 1975, to Anoka International Sales <br />& Service allowing them to erect two buildings on their property <br />subject to all plans and specifications being checked out by the <br />building inspector and subject to all other applicable ordinances.' <br />Reason for this variance is that it does not materially adversely <br />affect the purpose of the moratorium that is in effect.
