AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE POLICE PATROL CAR~ REQUEST FOR; <br /> <br />The following price quotes for a full~.size police car were received by <br />the Police Department: <br /> <br />Main Motors Anoka ~ Chev Impala <br />Greenberg Olds - AMC Olds Delta 88 <br />Metro Dodge (Anoka)-Dodge St. Regis <br />Country Chrysler (Elk River)-Plymouth Fury <br />Brookdale Ford ~ Ford LTD <br /> <br />$7~446.64 <br /> 6~600.00 <br /> 7,412.26 <br /> 7~038.14 <br /> 6,958.64 <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to authorize <br />the purchase of a police patrol car from Greenberg Olds, AMC Olds Delta <br />88 for a cost of $6,600.00 as per the price quote and as recommended by <br />the Chief of Police, Michael Auspos, in his letter dated December 17, 1979. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes; Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, <br />Reimann & Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />INPUT INTO RULES THAT GOVERN THE STATE AID HIGHWAY STANDARD <br /> <br />A letter from the Minnesota Transportation Department was presented which <br />states they are seeking input from governmental units to receive <br />recommendations to change their rules and standards governing the Trans- <br />portation Department. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka, Street Superintendent Mevissen~ and Councilmembers are <br />to review and submit any responses they wish to have included in a letter <br />of response from the City. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox noted that he would like to see the State cut down on their <br />wasteful spending on such things as sound barriers, etc. <br /> <br />Comments and responses are to be presented at the January 22nd Council meeting. <br /> <br />CONTRIBUTION FROM RAMSEY LION'S CLUB TO THE RAMSEY POLICE DEPARTMENT IN THE <br /> <br />AMOUNT OF $504.07 FOR THE PURCHASE OF CAMERA EQUIPMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to authorize <br />the Police Department to buy a camera and developing equipment with the donated <br />funds of the Ramsey Lion's Club ($504.07) and to send a letter of appreciation <br />to the Lion's Club for their contribution. <br /> <br />Voting yes; Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann & Sorteberg. <br />Voting no: None. Motion carried. <br /> <br />PLANNING & ZONING MATTERS FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />Excavation/Mining Ordinance <br /> <br />Recommendation of the P & Z Commission is that the City adopt by reference <br />Chapter 70 of the Uniform Building Code except Paragraph 6 & 8 of Section 7003. <br /> <br /> Regular Meeting <br />Council/January 8, 1980/Page 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
