City Administrator Schnelle said in 1979 when we deferred the projects and
when we went ahead, poor bids were received..

Councilman Cox asked because of the landfill, and the potential sewer and
water necessity will we be better off to pave now or later?

Councilman Sorteberg said the project would cost at least $30 per month or
more for the residents for ten years.

It was noted that the original petition is dated in January.

Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to reject.
the project.

Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Reimann, Sorteberg smd
Cox. Voting no None.

LIMONITE STORM SEWER PROJECT

Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to turn
down this drainage project.

Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Reimann, Sorteberg and
Cox. Voting no None.

CITY PARKS

Mayor Gamec said at T±tterud Park there will be seeding, but a fence is
needed to stop cars from driving on the park and grass areas. He said
posts and cable would be used. He also said Satelites will again be
needed. Also said saddle club will put up an arena area at no cost to
the City, if the City buys the material.

The posts and wire needed for Titterud Park would be $900. A backstop
would cost $1250. Councilman Cox said four pipe and ten foot wire would
be sufficient. There was a lengthy discussion by the Council on whether
a ready made backstop should be purchased, or whether it would be adequate
to buy pipes, wire and have City Staff construct the backstop.

The horse arena would cost the City $1,200. The total of these would be
$3,350. Public Works Superintendent Mevissen said 900 to 1,OO0 feet of
3/8" cable would be needed.

The funds could be taken from the Park Fund, which does have the money
for these improvements. Councilman Reimann said he would give the City
some 3/8" cable.

Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to
authorize expenditure of .$600 for electricity for the horse arena plus
$600 for lumber for same, $1,250 for backstop material, and cable and
posts for Titterud Park for a maximum total expenditure of $3,350.

C/April 8, 1980
Page 4
