Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to set a date <br />of May 31st as a cutoff date for petitions for street improvements projects <br />for the years 1980. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Mickelson and Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec directed staff to put the issue of cutoff time for next year's <br />street improvement projects on the agenda for the next council meeting <br />for discussion and to tell the Council how much time is needed. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann that next year's <br />cutoff time will be the first meeting in May for street improvement projects. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, <br />Mickelson and Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> <br />14) Economic Development CommitteeRequest for Change in City Code <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec informed the Council that Mr. Ron West and Mr. Carlson would <br />show the Council slid~ of smaller size houses on the 22nd of May at a <br />special council meeting after the Board of Review. <br /> <br />15) Council Policy to be Established with City of Elk River Regarding <br /> <br />Dumping of Sewage Waste <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said the County Commissioner and PCA were called <br />and the County Commissioner solved the problem last week. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec directed' City Administrator Schnelle to draw up a resolution <br />regarding the spreading of waste sludge and depositing it on the soil without <br />approval from the Cities of Ramsey and Elk River, and to bring the resolution <br />back to the Council at the next council meeting. <br /> <br />16) COUNCIL ACTION REQUIRED ON PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to appoint <br />City Attorney Bill Goodrich as the fiscal agent for 1980 street improvements. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, Mickelson <br />and Cox. Voting no-None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Reimann to <br />accept the bid date of June 23, 1980 for opening of bids for Street pro~ects <br />for 1980 and to adopt Resolution 80-36, Project ~80-3, Carol Rose Acres, <br />Resolution 80-37, Project #80-2, ~ports Haven, Resolution 80-38, Project #80-1, <br />Golden Eagle Estates, Resolution 80-39, Project #80-8, 158th, Kamacite & 159th Ave., <br />Resolution 80-40, Project #80-4, Halland Acres, and Resolution 80-41, <br />Project #80-6, Hagen's Unplatted Addition. Motion carried. Voting yes-Mayor Gamec, <br />Councilmen Sorteberg, Reimann, Mickelson and Cox. Voting no-None.
