He said all not only usurp staff time, but Planning & Zoning Commission <br />and Council Time. <br /> <br />He said the staff doesn't have time to cover the Weed Ordinance Paragraph <br />110.141 of the City Code. <br /> <br />He said Keeping of Certain Animals Section 110.09 pertaining to <br />keeping of cows, goats and pigs should be taken out and rewritten to <br />require application for a Conditional Use Permit. <br /> <br />He said starting in March, the City is swamped with call regarding <br />the Dogs and Cats Section 110.03 of the City Code. <br /> <br />He said the Horse Ordinance, 110.07 of the City Code should come <br />under Conditional Use. <br /> <br />He said the City currently has three incoming telephone lines which <br />really play havoc and he recommended restricting the number of <br />incoming calls to having only one incoming line, but keeping three <br />outgoing lines. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said he would be against having only one incoming line <br />because it would be making City Hall less accessible to the public <br />and would be restricting the City's contact with the people. He said <br />people should be able to get a hold of people at City Hall. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg suggested cutting the incoming lines down one <br />line and giving it a try. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said he agreed the phone can be busy. He suggested trying <br />to limi± the time of the calls. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann suggested taking their name and problem and calling <br />them back after getting the answers for them; <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec felt that limiting the phone was a poor way to cut costs. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle said there are several people tied up on <br />the phone and they can't get things done in the time they want to do it. <br />He didn't feel three lines were needed. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg said he was for giving two phone lines (incoming) <br />a try. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec said he would be willing to go back to two lines, but not <br />just one incoming line. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox said he understood City Administrator Schnelle's viewpoint. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle was instructed to try two incoming phone <br />lines. <br /> <br />2) Public Works Department and Park Department <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle recommended getting contractors in to do <br />the extensive work of cleaning out culverts and putting in culverts <br />where they are needed as this area isn't getting covered. <br /> <br />SPECIAL COUNCIL <br />November 5, 1980 <br /> Page 3 <br /> <br /> <br />
