Mayor Gamec stated the City uses Springstad now on an informal basis <br />and is satisfied with their work. <br /> <br />Attorney Goodrich stated Springstad now wants an agreement to act as <br />an agent for the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion by Comacilman Sorteberg and seconded by Councilman Cox to <br />enter into a contract with Springstad Fiscal Agent on a "per call <br />basis". <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilman Sorteberg, <br />Councilman Reiman~, Councilman Cox and Councilwoman Van Wagner. <br />Voting no: None. <br /> <br />CASE #6 Addendum - Rail Corridor Study (encl D2 Case 6): <br /> <br />The Codicil for the City of Ramsey passed and adopted Resolution #81-2 <br />Resolution regarding a Railroad Underpass at State Trunk Highway #47 <br />in Anoka, February 10, 1981. <br /> <br />~ayor Gamec stated there is a meeting in Moorhead in regard to the <br />Rail Corridor Study. <br /> <br />Motion by Mayor Gamec and seconded by Councilwoman Van Wagner to <br />forward a copy to the Rail Corridor Study Conference in Moorhead <br />of our Resolution #81-2 Resolution regarding a Railroad Underpass at <br />State Trunk Highway #47 in Anoka. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilman Sorteberg, <br />Councilman Reimann, Councilman Cox and Councilwoman Van Wagner. <br />Voting no: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />1) Zoning of Farmland for Agricultural use (Encl D3-a Case #1). <br /> <br />The Coomcil noted receipt of the Metro Agricultural Land preservation <br />information, a model zoning ordinance to protect productive <br />agricultural land and what local government should know about the <br />new Metropolitan Agricultural Preservation Act information. <br /> <br />Citizen Hardd Hunt came before the Council representing a delegation <br />of farmers to inquire about changing zoning back to agricultural <br />zoning for the delegation. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox stated the biggest concern of the delegation is the <br />preservation of their rights to raise livestock. <br /> <br />Mayor Gs~ec stated the Council would be reasonable in regard to <br />livestock as long as the nuisance ordinance is respected and the <br />nuisance ordinance will still be in effect regardless of changing <br />in zoning to agricultural. <br /> <br />Citizen Harold Hunt stated agricultural zoning would tie up your <br />property for eight years and make it difficult to sell a parcel <br />and maintain agricultural status. <br /> <br />Councilman Sorteberg suggested for parcels with 20 acres or more <br /> C/February 10, 1981 <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
