Mayor Gamec stated to the citizens to let the engineer <br />know of your driveway problems ahead of time so they can <br />schedule adjustments. <br /> <br />Citizen Robert Stoleum asked if it was required of the <br />citizen to do restoration now. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated it is not required however the City <br />would no longer include restoration in the bids. <br /> <br />Mr. Stoleum asked about the sealcoating, when it would <br />be done and what it would cost. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated it would cost approximately $200.00 <br />per household over a three year period and approximately <br />6-7 years before sealcoating would be done by assessment. <br />Citizen would get one assessment for sure. <br /> <br />Citizen Dick Austin 54xx 180th Lane N.W., came before <br />the Council and inquired about culverts, where.they are <br />now and are they adequate. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka stated some might have to be enlarged <br />and present location of culverts. <br /> <br />Sue , Citizen on Iodine street, came before the Council <br />and asked how blacktopping would effect the taxes. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated the market value of a home may raise $1,000 <br />which is about .28-.35 per year and the resale value would <br />appreciate. <br /> <br />Citizen Sue asked with the blacktopping of' t'hese streets <br />would there be an additional speed limit or stop sign posted. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated stop signs don't help enough and <br />speeding should be reported to the police. <br /> <br />Citizen Jim Martin asked if this would be flat blacktopping. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated yes. <br /> <br />Citizen Rick Kohler, Iodine Street, came before the Council <br />and stated he would like to know if there was a solution <br />to the speeding problem. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated a stop sign review by the city and state, <br />state funded by petition for a sign would help to secure <br />a sign. He suggested signing a petition for the City to keep <br />on file and give consideration. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec at this time took a straw vote of the residents <br />of this addition ( one person per household, 19 residents) <br />17 indicated ~n favor of proposed project, 2 ~ndicated <br />opposition to proposed project. <br /> <br />SpC/June 30, 1981 <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
