Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by CouncilwOman <br />Van Wagner to close the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilwoman <br />Van Wagner, Councilman Reimann, Councilman Cox and Councilman <br />Sorteberg. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />The public hearing was closed at 8:59 P.M. <br /> <br />V. Public Hearing - 9:00 P.M. <br /> <br />151 Ave, 152 Ave. and Fluorine <br />St. Project #81.-5 <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka discussed the proposed consideration <br />of making a tarvia street improvement and a proposed <br />bituminous overlay. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec asked for citizen input. <br /> <br />Citizen Gary Solmenson, 5520 152nd Avenue asked if there <br />would be an easement for a ditch. <br /> <br />city Engineer Raatikka stated yes, an open ditch with a <br />1 1/2 foot drop. <br /> <br />Citizen Dick Hartman, 5515 152nd, came before the Council <br />and stated he works for the City of Minneapolis and in no <br />way is in favor of the project. <br /> <br />Citizen Simonson, 5545 152nd, came before the Counci! and <br />stated no one drives on the road, the road has changed. <br /> <br />Citizen Ed Eckelson, 15110 St. Francis Boulevard Came <br />before the Council and stated he is against the.project <br />if water and sewer comes in. <br /> <br />Citizen Mark Bredenberg, 5450 152nd Avenue, came before <br />the Council and stated he is in opposition to the proposed <br />project. <br /> <br />Citizen John Ebert, 5414 15 , came before the Council and <br />stated the grader does a.great job and he doesn't think <br />the project is necessary. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec took a straw vote at this time (one person per <br />household, 15 residents present) Only two in favor of <br />project. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman <br />Cox to close the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
