CASE #5 - ORDINANCE REGARDING THE REQUI.Rt~NT OF AIR PUMPS AT SERVICE <br /> STATIONS <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that if we approve this ordinance, should we force <br />existing service stations in the City of Ramsey to comply? City <br />Attorney Goodrich replied that the City of Ramsey will send copies of <br />updated ordinance to all service stations in Ramsey and those stations <br />have until June of 1982 to comply. Councilman Cox stated that owners <br />of existing stations §hould have had a say in this matter, but he also <br />feels that all stations should have to comply with this ordinance if <br />approved. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to approve <br />the adoption of Ordinance #81-5 requiring service stations to provide <br />compressed air for customers. Further that the said ordinance be <br />publiched in the official newspaper. Please refer to City Ordinances <br />for ordinance. Further Discussion: Councilman Sorteberg asked if <br />hand pumps qualified. Motion carried. Voting Yes: <br />Councilmembers Sorteberg, Reimann, Cox and Van Wagner. The memo pointed out that the City Administrator, City <br />Engineer and City Attorney had met and discussed the status of the present <br />bond market and also reviewed recent bond sales.
