Page 7 Regular Council January 29, 1979 WHEREAS the City of Ramsey does not necessarily approve of the proposal that the City's sewage flow be treated at the Pigs Eye Treat- ment Center, not because the City has no voice in this concept, the City feels it has no alternative but to present this resolution to the Metro- politan Council and, WHEREAS the Metropolitan Council has issued a System Statement for the City of Ramsey suggesting that sanitary sewer service will not be available to the City of Ramsey before 1985, and WHEREAS construction of the Anoka portion of the CAB Interceptor is likely to be completed as early as 1981, and WHEREAS a primary purpose of the Anoka portion of the CAB Inter- ceptor is to provide sanitary sewer service to the City of Ramsey, and WHEREAS wastewater collected in the Anoka portion of the CAB Interceptor will be treated in the Anoka Wastewater Treatment Plat, which has capacity substantially in excess of current needs, and WHEREAS the City of Ramsey may require sanitary sewer service before 1985, and WHEREAS the 208 Areawide Plan/Development Guide for Water Quality Management will become the overriding document for the control of sanitary sewer service availability for the City of Ramsey~ NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Ramsey City Council hereby requests the Metropolitan Council to revise the 208 Areawide Plan/Development Guide for Water Quality Management to provide that sanitary sewer service will be made available to the City of Ramsey upon completion of construction of the Anoka portion of the CAB Interceptor consistent with available capacity in the Anoka Wastewater Treatment Plant. Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilman Muller, Councilman Reimann, Councilman Mickelson and Councilman Cox. Voting no None, DRAINAGE STUDY Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Muller to enter into an agreement with Consulting Engineers Diversified for an amount not to exceed $15,000 for them to conduct a Drainage Study for the City of Ramsey. Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilman Muller, Councilman Reimann, Councilman Mickelson and Councilman Cox. Voting no None. AMEND CHAPTER 170.04 SOILS OF CITY CODE Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to table any action on the Soils Code until the next regular Council meeting. Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilman Muller, Councilman Reiman, Councilman Mickelson and Councilman Cox. Voting no None.
