Page 7 <br />Regular Council <br />January 29, 1979 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the City of Ramsey does not necessarily approve of <br />the proposal that the City's sewage flow be treated at the Pigs Eye Treat- <br />ment Center, not because the City has no voice in this concept, the City <br />feels it has no alternative but to present this resolution to the Metro- <br />politan Council and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the Metropolitan Council has issued a System Statement <br />for the City of Ramsey suggesting that sanitary sewer service will not be <br />available to the City of Ramsey before 1985, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS construction of the Anoka portion of the CAB Interceptor <br />is likely to be completed as early as 1981, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS a primary purpose of the Anoka portion of the CAB Inter- <br />ceptor is to provide sanitary sewer service to the City of Ramsey, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS wastewater collected in the Anoka portion of the CAB <br />Interceptor will be treated in the Anoka Wastewater Treatment Plat, which has <br />capacity substantially in excess of current needs, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the City of Ramsey may require sanitary sewer service <br />before 1985, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the 208 Areawide Plan/Development Guide for Water Quality <br />Management will become the overriding document for the control of sanitary <br />sewer service availability for the City of Ramsey~ <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Ramsey City Council hereby requests the <br />Metropolitan Council to revise the 208 Areawide Plan/Development Guide for <br />Water Quality Management to provide that sanitary sewer service will be <br />made available to the City of Ramsey upon completion of construction of the <br />Anoka portion of the CAB Interceptor consistent with available capacity in <br />the Anoka Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilman Muller, Councilman <br />Reimann, Councilman Mickelson and Councilman Cox. Voting no None, <br /> <br />DRAINAGE STUDY <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Muller to enter into an <br />agreement with Consulting Engineers Diversified for an amount not to exceed <br />$15,000 for them to conduct a Drainage Study for the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilman Muller, Councilman <br />Reimann, Councilman Mickelson and Councilman Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />AMEND CHAPTER 170.04 SOILS OF CITY CODE <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to table any <br />action on the Soils Code until the next regular Council meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilman Muller, Councilman <br />Reiman, Councilman Mickelson and Councilman Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br /> <br />
