Engineer Raatikka reviewed his report based on the Anoka County soil survey. Mayor Gamec said the City didn't have the funds to get involved in putting the road through. Councilman Cox suggested obtaining an easement to.be dedicated'tQthelCity tQ give the Knackstedt's access to the Property~ Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Sorteberg to attemPt tQ get an 80 foot wide street easement for extension'of 16~th.'Lane~ approved by th~,City Attorney, deeded to the City before granti.ng of any bu~idi~g~ permits or variance to the ordinance for them to use the'existing driveway~ Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox~ Mickelson,~.Reimann and Sorteberg. Voting no: None. SORTEBERG ADDITION FOR FINAL P~LAT~'Ap_PR~.V~A~ Mayor Gamec asked if everything on this final plat was thelSame as the preliminary. Engineer Raatikka said there are no changes other than what thelCity changed for drainage and they need to provide a reproducible CQPY of thelplat showing house numbers. Dennis Donovan questioned why no park land was dedicated. Councilman Cox said one of the reaSons he isn't in favQr~Qf~a park in.that area is because of Trott Brook being relatively c!ose'and~helfee!s an~ money the City can get should be used to develop bike trails; etc. He objects to~ too many parks, and would like to see existing parks developed. Dennis Donovan said the Park Board feelS the City needs parks with baseball. fields and tennis courts. Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Mickelson~t~app~ove the final palt of Sorteberg Addition with recommendationS.of thelCity. Ehgineer as stated in his report dated 4/18/79., elmininating theldrainage easements~in Lots 3 and 4, Block 3; Lot 3, Block 2 drainage easement to be Cut~down'somewhat~. subject also to Engineer and Attorney approval and all'other requ~rements.of~ the platting ordinance. Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, CouD~i!men]Cox~ MickelSon~ Reimann Voting no: None. Abstaining: Councilman Sortebe~g. Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann -that the City Engineer prepare some type of future resubdivision'and road dedication, and easement plan for Ordinance adoption. Motion carried. Voting yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmen Cox, Mickelson, Reimann and Sorteberg. Voting no: None.
