Mr. Anderson indicated he cut four acres of grass for years, and is now retired. He is looking
forward to moving. He stated all the neighbors talk, and the only neighbor he does not see here
just built a new pool and put in a new septic system. He indicated he put on new siding and a
new roof and planned to stay there for 20 more years, but now he is ready to go.

Dave Olson, 15311 Xenia indicated he is just out of the area proposed. He wonders what this
means in terms of sewer and water where he is concerned and asked if he would have to pay for
it.

Associate Planner Geisler indicated only the developer would have to pay for it at this time.

Assistant Community Development Director Trudgeon added it would not be extended as far as
Mr. Olson's property.

Tim Galloway, 15430 Sunfish Boulevard stated he sold to Oakwood, mainly because of the 202
townhomes built across the street. He indicated he has seen other Oakwood Land Development's
projects and they are done very well, unlike the 202 townhomes across the street. He stated he
thinks this is a great opportunity for the neighborhood and Ramsey.

Motion by Commissioner Brauer, seconded by Commissioner Van Scoy to close the public
hearing at 8:20 p.m.

Motion carried. He indicated the City Council is still at a work
session level in their discussions, but felt the Planning Commission needed to take a leading role
in planning sewer expansion in Ramsey. He noted there is a work session on Monday with the
City Council that the Planning Commission is invited to attend, where they will talk about this
more. He stated he would point out that the trunk line is on Sunfish Lake Boulevard.

City Engineer Jankowski agreed, indicating that is an 18 inch pipe. He stated one thing Staff is
saying is the plan does not show extension of that stub, and it should. He indicated the
watermain should be looped to the intersection of Sunfish Boulevard and Alpine Drive.

Vice Chair Johnson asked how far sewer is from the property.

City Engineer Jankowski indicated it is contiguous to the property, and has been jacked across
Sunfish Lake.

Planning Commission/April 1, 2004
