Mr. Bouta noted the alternative driveway made for accessing the pole building will be paved, <br />eliminating the gravel road on the other lot. <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Johnson, seconded by Board Member Brauer to close the public <br />hearing at 7:18 p.m. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chair Van Scoy, Board Members Johnson, Brauer, Jeffrey, <br />Shepherd, and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: Chair Person Nixt. <br /> <br />Board Business <br /> <br />Motion by Board Member Johnson, seconded by Board Member Jeffrey to adopt Resolution #04- <br />04- adopting Findings of Fact #0__ relating to Jerry Bouta's request for a variance from lot <br />width requirement, favorable to the applicant. <br /> <br />Further Discussion: Board Member Johnson stated it would be different if this was a lot split in <br />his mind, but it is a lot the City approved. He indicated it would be hard to deny when the City <br />approved the lot. Board Member Jeffrey agreed, and noted additionally it is not unlike the other <br />lots in the area. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Vice Chair Van Scoy, Board Members Johnson, Jeffrey, Brauer, <br />Shepherd and Watson. Voting No: None. Absent: Chair Person Nixt. <br /> <br />Case #3 <br /> <br />Request for a Variance to the Impervious Surface Restrictions in the Critical <br />River and Wild and Scenic River Overlay Districts to Facilitate an <br />Expansion of Superbowl; Case of Mike Anderson <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Community Development Director Frolik advised that Mike Anderson, owner of Superbowl <br />located at 6720 Riverdale Drive NW is proposing to construct an 8,632 square foot addition to <br />the building and increase the size of the paved parking lot. She indicated approximately 60% of <br />the property is located in the Critical and Wild and Scenic River Overlay District, for which there <br />is a 30% impervious surface restriction. She stated the site was developed prior to the adoption <br />of the Critical River Performance Standards and the current impervious surface calculation is <br />78%.
