Regular Meeting 1~10/77 <br />Page 4 <br /> <br />b. MSA Project, 153rd between Armstro~and Puma. <br /> <br />Engineer Raatikka presented a letter stati~ng his recommendation on the Project. <br /> <br />Discussion took place. <br /> <br />Council will have to make a decision on whether to assess or not assess to pay for <br />engineering fees over %10 percent paid by State Aid. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox requested Mr. Raatikka work over the proposal and bring it back to Council <br />at the next meeting. <br /> <br />c. Bus Routes on Highway 10. <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson reported that he met with Mr. McCloskey. On an interim basis, the school <br />buses are turning into Collins Drive and backing up and coming out again. Mr. Nereson <br />said to facilitate the turnaround on either cul de sac on Collins Drive, a 150 foot <br />radius similar to Bowers Drive will be required. There is not enough property <br />dedicated at either end to do this; possibly the City could acquire more land and <br />upgrade the street with class 5 making it acceptable for their use. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox directed that the property owners be contacted and asked how they feel about <br />dedicating land for this purpose. <br /> <br />d. Second reading of Ordinance 77-1. <br /> <br />Motion by Gorham, seconded by Reimann to adopt Ordinance 77-1, amending Ord. #75-7, hours <br />of liquor operation. <br /> Carried 5 Ayes <br /> <br />e. Appointment of Heavy Duty Equipment Operator. <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann, seconded by Mickelson to hire Michael Stenquist as Heavy Duty <br />Equipment Operator per job description on file at City Hall, at $6.00 per hour, performan~ <br />to be reviewed at the end of a six month probation period. <br /> Carried 5 Ayes. <br /> <br />f. Bids on police patrol car. <br /> <br />Motion by Gorham, seconded by Reimann to grant the bid to Metro Dodge for the price <br />of $5,138.99, as per their bid submitted to the City of Ramsey this date. <br /> Carried 5 Ayes <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS <br /> <br />a. McGregor's expansion proposal. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox said the Council has reviewed the proposal and conducted public hearing for <br />same. <br /> <br />Ms. McGregor stated she will contact her insurance agent and have him contact the City <br />for clarification on her insurance. <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson said the on site disposal system will be left up to McGregor's with the <br />understanding it has to meet State specifications. <br /> <br />Councilman Gorham said the liquor license could be issued when occupancy is given <br />by the City Building Inspector, contingent upon insurance and bond clarification. <br /> <br /> <br />
