Regul~ar Council Meeting <br />Page 5 <br />2/14/77 <br /> <br />Bob Cushman Resignation. <br />Mr. Nereson read the letter of resignation. <br /> <br />Motion by Reimann, Seconded by Gorham to accept the resignation of Bob <br />Cushman and directed a letter of appreciation be sent to him for work <br />he has done on the Park Commission. <br /> <br />Conditional Use Permit - City Hall. <br /> <br />Motion by Gorham, Seconded by Muller to authorize a conditional use <br />permit for a municipal building to be built at 15153 Nowthen Boulevard <br />as per Planning and Zoning recommendation. <br /> <br />Licensing of businesses and contractors. <br /> <br />Motion by Gorham, Seconded by Mickelson to authorize licenses to be <br />issued to businesses and contractors as presented with the exception <br />of No. 77-20 until receipt of a police report. <br /> <br />County Line Road. <br /> <br />Mr. Voss has inquired as to the possibility of having a road built'' from <br />Ramse¥, NW corner of City, to the She~berne County line. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Council is to drop the matter. <br /> <br />Minnesota Dept. of Transportation Plans. <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson said Pete Raatikka, Consultin~ Engineers is the best person <br />to handle the comprehensive traffic plan which is due by July 1978. <br />Along with this Mr. Raatikka will respond to the bridge crossing and request <br />for H~V 4~ as State thoroughfare,tobe changed to proceed on Hwy. 47 South <br />to Industry Boulevard and then across the bridge then South to County Road <br />7 and South to Highway 10 as it will tie in. This proposal is for safety <br />as well as to get it on the Federal system. <br /> <br />Administrator's Report <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson reported Jack Boarman, City Hall architect, has tentatively <br />set March 18, 1977, for bid lettin~ for the new City hall and fine station. <br />He requests Council schedule a meeting for Monday, March 21, 1977, at 7 P.M., <br />for the purpose of reviewing bid tabulations and making the award to the <br />contractor. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox scheduled a meeting for March 21, at City Hall in accordance <br />with Mr. Boatman's request. <br /> <br />Discussion held on heating system to be used in the new City hall. <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson said we cannot receive grant monies until on-site labor has <br />begun and the architect wants $30,000 payment which, legally by contract, <br />he has coming. We have $11,000 CD which we could cash and pay $10,000 <br />until the on-site labor begins and then replace it with EDA funds. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox said this payment could be made when the CD expires, in March, <br />and Mr. Nereson is to inform Mr. Boarman. <br /> <br />5 ^.ye~ <br /> <br />5 Ayes_ <br /> <br />5 Ayes <br /> <br /> <br />
