COUNCIL 2/27/78 (4) <br /> <br />a bad position. Mr. Melberg has already had his mobile home parked <br />there for 180days and now wants another extension. He could have <br />moved into the mobile home park and lived there and then moved after <br />the house was under construction. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox said he also is in favor of not allowing any mobile homes. <br />He said everyone has hardships, i.e., closing on one house and the <br />other people aren't ready to move out, etc. <br /> <br />Mr. Melberg promised the Council that he would move the mobile home <br />off the property in 90 days. <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann said he wants P~. Melberg to understand that <br />he can't move into the house until he gets a certificate of occupancy <br />from the City and the house has to be completely done. <br /> <br />MOTION by Muller, seconded by Gamec to grant a 90-day special permit <br />to Mr. Jerry Melberg to park his mobile home on his property during <br />construction of his home. <br /> 4 <br /> <br />NEW'BUSINESS <br /> <br />1.'~COMMUNITY SCHOOL'UPDATE <br /> <br /> Mr. Marc Hadley, Community School Director, was present to <br />update the Council on the winter program status and to ,present <br />the preliminary draft of the spring program for Council review. <br />He asked for Council comment and concern on any programs. <br /> <br />He said during the winter program there were 35 classrooms <br />full and running. Total enrollment was 433 persons. <br />There is a film night scheduled for Friday, March 17, from 7 to <br />9 p.m., featuring things such as cartoons, Laurel and Hardy and <br />some type of family adventure film. There is an adult "Alcohol <br />Awareness Seminar'~ with Tom Anderson teaching, to be held on March <br />9th. <br /> <br />Mr. Hadley plans to purchase a ping-pong table for$185.50 and <br />a foosball table for $425 from monies out of the Advisory Committee <br />budget from events such as Family Fun Day. The tables will be used <br />for teen nights. <br /> <br />Mr. Hadley said the most difficult.thing he had to deal with is <br />finding enough teachers. <br /> <br />There is a special Ramsey Community School recognition night <br />scheduled to be held at Cheapskate roller rink. <br /> <br />Mr. Hadley's Spring project is to survey on preschool children <br />because he feels there is a need for more programs in that area. <br /> <br />Mr. Hadley complimented the City's Street Dept. for the excellent <br />job they did on making ice for the rink at Ramsey Elementary. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox questioned what happens when classes are filled, for <br />instance, Tumbling? <br /> <br /> <br />
