Flintwood Hills 2nd Addition, Report 3/2?/?8 <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson read the minutes of the last Council meeting, 3/13/78, re- <br />garding this matter at which time it was decided to table it until this <br />meeting. He said that it was the intent of the Council at that time to <br />check with the people who actually drafted the document to see if the <br />intent to escrow the funds was consistent with the plan. It was. <br /> <br />Dick Carson was present and said that they have made a couple changes to <br />the sketch plan and showed them to the Council. Councilman Mickelson said <br />that if Mr. Carson does not pay as soon as he is assessed, the taxpayers <br />will have to pay it because the bonding has to be met. He said if it cmld <br />be guaranteed so that this is paid for right away so that none of the money <br />has to be paid by the taxpayers, he would be aggreeable to it. <br /> <br />Mayor Cox directed Administrator Nereson and Attorney Goodrich to review <br />this with Dick Carson to see if some alternative could be found to guaran- <br />tee that the monies could be available in a way that would work this out. <br />Mayor Cox asked Engineer Raatikka to check on obtaining a 33' easement west <br />of the proposed Ramsey Shoppers Mall from KANO Radio to see if they will <br />deed it to the City for theRamsey Shoppers Mall development and to report <br />back to the Council at the next meeting or sooner. <br /> <br />Report, election machines and resolution regarding precinct change <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson reviewed the terms on which Ramsey could buy the voting machines <br />from Anoka. Mayor Cox said that he sees~nothi~gbut a gain to Ramsey by pur- <br />chasing these machines because of the savings in money over a period of time. <br />He said that he would be in favor of entering into an agreement with Anoka to <br />purchase these machines. <br /> <br />MOTION by Mickelson, seconded by Gamec to enter into an agreement with Anoka <br />to purchase the voting machines, terms to be 20 percent per year for five <br />years with a total amount to be approximately $6,$00.00. The contract is <br />non-interest bearing. 5 Ayes <br /> <br />MOTION by Mickelson, seconded by Muller to adopt Resolution 78~ ~hichm~o~.es <br />the precinct polling place for Precinct ~2 from Lord of Life Lutheran Church <br />to Ramsey Municipal Center. 5 Ayes <br /> <br />NEW BUSINESS, <br /> <br />1. Anoka Fire Contrast <br /> <br />Mayor Cox was not sure if there had been discussion about the Anoka fire <br />contract. It was determined that there had been. Mayor Cox said he would <br />have no problem signing it. <br /> <br />2.
