COUNCIL 3/2?/?8 (~) 6. Arbor Day Mr. Nor,son said that the Community 3chool is trying to work with the 4-H ar~ Boy~and Girl Scouts to try to get some sort of Arbor Day Celebration lined up. April 28 through May 30 has been proclaimed as Arbor month. Councilman Reimann mentioned that he' has a tree sale lined up tentatively for April 15th. Mayor Cox said it should be advertised in the paper. Mayor Cox mentioned that Anoka County Historical Society is preparing a book about people in the area and their history. The Historical Society has asked the City to appoint two members to a Restoration Committee of old City Hall site. MOTION by Muller, seconded by Mickelson to appoint Lynn Schmidt and Jean James to the Restoration Committee. 5 Ayes REPORTS ~ 1. Street Department The Street Report was reviewed by the City Council. 2. Building Department The Building Report was reviewed by the City Council. 3. Assessing Department The Assessing Report was reviewed by the City Council. 4. Police Department The Police Report was reviewed by the City Council. ADMINISTRATORS REPORT: Mr. Nor, son said that he would like to establish April 20 as the deadline to receive grader bids. They can then be reviewed and back to the Council at the April 2~thCouncil meeting. He said Ramseywill reserve the right to reject ar~ or all bids. MOTION by Mickelson, seconded by Reimann to call a public hearing for April 10 at ?~$5 P.M. to consider vacating the West 2~' of the 99' easement for roadway purposes on Plat 89211, Parcel 730. 5 Ayes Board of Review - It was noted that the Board of Review to be conducted by the C~t~ Council is set for May 18, 1978, at ?..~ P.M. at the Ramsey Munici- pal Center.
