Page 6 Council/Jane 26, 1978 Janice Sieber said they did call the police and they were going to come but never did. School buses and residents down on the other end of the road are doing the speeding. Chief Auspos stated he will have the squad check it out and investigate the blind spot, ebc. Street Superintendent Mevissen said he would like to take a traffic com~t. It was decided to table this issue until the Police Department has conducted a study of the area and a traffic count is taken. 3. On-sale liquor license application - Charles Inderieden. Discussion was held regarding whether or not to change the ordinance to read brick would be required on a percentage of the wall versus the entire building. A public hearing is scheduled for ~uly 10, 1978 at 7:00 p.m. 4. Request to vacate easement - Gene Kellogg Discussion held. Motion by Councilman Gamec, seconded by Councilman Reimann to take the reco~:m~endation from the Building Official and City Engineer dated 6/1/?f~ and not grant the easement vacation for Lot 3, Block 4, Menkveld's Country Park at this time. 5. New squad car bids. Discussion held. A question was raised as to why so few bids were received. Chief Auspos e~q01ained that some of the dealers could not meet the specs he sent out and so they did not bid. Motion by Co~mcilman Reimann, seconded by Councilman Mickelson to reject the bids of 6/23/78 and re-advertise for bids again and indicate to the dealers that they should come as close to the specs as possible and indicate which sections of the specs they don~t meet. 6. Disposition of used squad car. Discussion held. Consensus of the Council is to re-advertise to sell the old car and park it at the old City Hall and post a for-sale sign on it. 7. DeZiel's Supper Club Inc., on-sale liquor license renewal. Motion by Counci]m~an Muller, seconded by Cotmcilman Reimann to grant DeZiel's Supper Club an on-sale intoxicating liquor license effective 7/1/78 to 6/30/79. 5 Ayes 5 Ayes 5 Ayes
