Regular Council <br />Page 2 <br />September 25, 1978 <br /> <br />The Dickensons were assued that no further action was to be taken on the <br />petition for blacktopping of Tungsten and Rivlyn. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Muller and seconded by Councilman Gamec to approve <br />-the minutes of the Special Council meeting of September 5, 1978. <br /> <br />5 ayes <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Gamec to approve <br />the minutes of the Public Hearing for Itasca Heights of September 5, <br />1978. <br /> <br />5 ayes <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Muller to approve <br />the minutes of the regular Cotmcil meeting of September ll, 1978 with the <br />correction of the spelling of Kathy Schneider's name. <br /> <br />5 ayes <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />LETTERS AND COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />It was noted a letter was sent to Mr. Ed Fields thanking him for all the <br />time and effort he has spent for the City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />City Engineer Raatikka had received notice of a surplus items sale and the <br />Council felt it should be turned over to Street Superintendent Mevisson <br />to handle. <br /> <br />It was also noted that filings for the positions of two Council members and <br />one mayor would be from September 26, 1978 to October 10, 1978. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />ANOKA-HENNEPIN SCHOOL DISTRICT 11 JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT FOR COMMUNITY <br /> <br />EDUCATION: <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Gamec and seconded by Councilman Muller to enter into <br />the Joint Powers Agreement and have Mayor Cox sign the agreement. <br /> <br />5 ayes <br />Motion carried <br /> <br />PLAYING FIELDS FOR RAMSEY ELEMENTARY <br /> <br />Mr. Dennis Donovan of the Parks and Recreation Commission was present to <br />discuss with the Council the progress he has made to date in getting a <br />committment from the Anoka-Hennepin School District 11 on a dollar figure <br />for the ballfields at the Ramsey Elementary School.
