Regular Council <br />~age 2 <br />October 25, 1978 <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Gamec and seconded by Councilman Reimarm to approve <br />the minutes of the public hearing on accessory buildings of October 10, 1978. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman Muller, Councilman Reimann, Council- <br />man Mickelson, Councilman Gamec. Voting no None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Muller and seconded by Councilman Reimann to approve <br />the minutes of the regular City Council meeting of October 10, 1978 <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman Muller, Councilman Reimann, Council- <br />man Mickelson, Councilman Gamec. Voting no None. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Gamec and seconded by Councilman Muller to approve the <br />minutes of the special Council meeting of October 17, 1978. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman Reimann, Councilman Muller and <br />Councilman Gamec. Councilman MickelsonAbstained. <br /> <br />i,E]TERS AND COMMUNICATIONS <br /> <br />A meeting with Mr. Larry Bailey of HUD was held at the Ramsey City Hall <br />on October 18, 1978 in regards to the flood plain insurance program. It <br />is noted that over 200 notices were sent to citizens in the flood plain <br />area of the City of Ramsey and also to insurance agents, realtors, and <br />banks in the Anoka County area. Out of these notices only one citizen and <br />one insurance agent came to the meeting. <br /> <br />A letter from Mrs. Doris Irvine in regards to the street improvement <br />project for Itasca Heights was noted by Council. <br /> <br />A letter from the Secretary of Treasure regarding revenue sharing was <br />also noted. City Administrator Schnelle informed the Council they are <br />entitled to $29,000.00 in revenue sharing. <br /> <br />A Ietter from the Elk River School District #728 was reviewed in regards <br />to a census taken by them of all residents in that district. <br /> <br />OLD BUSINESS <br /> <br />TOM HOLKER REGARDING LOCATION OF MOVED IN HOUSE SHELL ON WRONG LOCATION <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Muller that Council <br />interprets its motion of September 11, 1978, in regard to this matter to <br />mean that approval for Mr. Holker to move into Ramsey surplus housing from <br />the Naval Air Station was intended to be approval only for the housing <br />to be located in High Point Addition. The reason for this restriction <br />was that since High Point is being developed by Mr. Holker, he is the person <br />best able to assure that the housing is architectually compatible to the <br />adjacent housing. The Council did not by its motion on September 11, 1978, <br />intend to allow the housing to be located any place in the City without <br />Council_ approval.
