Special Council <br />November 2 ~ 1978 <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Dave Mickelson arrived at 8: SS P.M..- .~J~_zz_j,~d_~z~-~ ~c ~-~,/~:~ <br /> <br />Street Superintendent Mevisson was present to discuss with the Council <br />plans for building an overhang at the City Garage. It was the general <br />concensus of the Council he was to go ahead an install it that it was <br />contained in the original plans for the building and did not need the <br />Council approval. <br /> <br />TOM HOLKER; REGARDING PLACEMENT OF HOMES IN RAMSEY <br /> <br />Mr. Tom Holker was present with his attorney, Mr. Jim Nielsen of Babcock, <br />Locher & Nielsen to clear up a misunderstanding created at the September 11, <br />1978 Council meeting in regards to Mr. Holker's request to move in four <br />surplus houses to the City of Ramsey. Mr. Nielsen stated that at no time <br />did his client say he wanted to place these homes in High Point. He also <br />stated they were here to get Council's approval on four locations in the <br />City to place houses on. <br /> <br />The four locations are as follows: <br /> <br />1) The corner of County Road #5 and #57. <br />2) County Road #64 and 181st Avenue <br />3) Green Valley Road <br />4) High Point (undetermined location) <br /> <br />Councilman Reimann stated that he felt it was perfectly clear where the <br />houses would be placed. Mr. Holker said he did not say they would be <br />in the High Point Plat. The Council did feel he stated where they would <br />be placed and also Mr. Holker stated they would fit right in. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Mickelson and seconded by Councilman Reimann to <br />leave as originally stated and intended that all four houses of Mr. <br />Itolker's request of September 11, 1978 be placed in his High Point <br />Plat on a buildable lot. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman Gamec, Councilman Mickelson, <br />Councilman Reimann, Councilman Muller and Mayor Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />A discussion of the City's subdivision ordinance followed inasmuch as <br />Mr. Holker's wanting to divide by metes and bounds a parcel of land on <br />the corner of County Road #5 and #57. The Council felt we should have <br />clarification by our attorney on the issue and also have it sent back <br />to Planning and Zoning for their review. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Gamec and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to have <br />this request of Mr. Holker's on subdivision by metes and bounds sent <br />back to Planning and Zoning for their recommendation. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Councilman Gamec, Councilman Mickelson, Council- <br />man Reimann, Councilman Muller and Mayor Cox. Voting no None. <br /> <br />Mr. Itolker stated for the record his request to be on the next agenda for <br />Planning and Zoning. City Administrator Schnelle reminded the Council <br /> <br /> <br />
