I I Motion Not Accepting Responsibility Motion by~~and seconded by ~~to disapprove of authorizing the City of' Ramsey to replace the decorative p6st located on driveway edge at Mr. Acer's residence at 8600 - 176th Avenue NW that were damaged by the City's snow plow truck when plowing snow on Thursday, December 30, 1982. Further, that if Mr. Acers wants to replace these posts he must contact the Public Works Superintendent as to where he should locate said posts. It I is further directed that the Public Works Superintendent make a cursory ckeck of the City as to how many other residences have the same possible problems and report back to C0un_c~l~ Motion carried. I CASE #2: AUTHORIZATION FOR THE CITY ENGINEER TO ESTABLISH VE~TICALCONTROL IN THE URBAN AREA (~NCHMARKS) FOR PUBLIC UTILITIES, REQUEST FOR: I I I I I I I CASE #3: Enclosure (D3-b) contains the City Engineer's letter dated January 18, 1983 with a map which is requesting authorization to commence work on establishing vertical 'control at a cost not to exceed $4,566. This matter was before Council during the 1983 budget process and at that time Council provided for this work in the 1983 budget. It is a must thing to be accomplished before you can put in sanitary sewer trunks and laterals. Council Action: Your action will be to approve/disapprove of authorizing the above project. REVIEW OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR 155TH AVENUE NW AND VARIOLITE STREET NW I I I I I I (MSA STREET SURFACING PROJECT): The City Engineer wants to submit these plans to the State Department of Trans- portation for their approval. However, the City Council should review them prior to submitting them to the DOT f~r any changes you may want to make to the plans and specifications. The City Engineer will have the plans and speci- fications available at the Council meeting. Council Action: Your action will be to approve/disapprove/amend the plans. Council may want to establish a Road and Bridge Standing Committee consisting of two C0uncilmembers and City Staff reviewing all street' plans prior to their- coming to Council. This approach would eliminate Some of the Problems that we have had on past projects.
