'1 <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> I <br /> <br />JLEC Minutes <br />10/8/82, Page 2 <br /> <br />After extensive discussion regarding the capabilities of the <br />proposed CAD system, costs, interfacing with other computers, <br />anticipated benefits to the municipalities, equipment reliability <br />and maintenance, alternative systems, future plans, etc., the <br />chairman requested that the Council reach a conclusion as' to the <br />following options for a recommendation to the County Board: <br /> <br />(i) <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />no recommendation, i.e., continue with manual system; <br />recommend the CAD system as bid; <br /> <br />(3) recommend a lower-level CAD system; <br /> <br /> (4) recommend a rebidding 6f a CAD system. <br /> <br />After further discussion, Chief Anderson made motion that %he <br />Council recommend the Simcon bid as recommended by the County <br />Communications Manager in the amount of $489,000, to the County <br />Board and that a roll call vote be taken. Chief LaTuff seconded <br />the motion. Chief Myhre asked if the motion included the dial-up <br />system in the amount of $7,800. The maker of the motion and the <br />second accepted the modification of the motion. The motion was <br />passed by a roll call vote as follows: . <br /> <br />Six in favor: <br /> <br />Chief Anderson, Ray Jones, Chief LaTuff, <br />Chief Myhre, Bruce Nawrocki, Vernon Swanson <br /> <br />Three opposed: Jim Hartwell, Jim Hill, Chief Hogie <br /> <br />One abstain: <br /> <br />Eugene Peterson <br /> <br />The chairman announced that the next regular meeting of the Council <br />is scheduled for November 24, the night before Thanksgiving.
