However, the citizens do not see it <br />this way and they want a high priority placed in <br />this area. Consequently, we are going to have to <br />start recognizing this area . <br /> <br />3) <br /> <br />Council Agenda Control - After every Council meeting <br />there is a tremendous amount of activity in accomplish- <br />ing the action Council took at their meeting. However, <br />due to workload this critical area has not been main- <br />tained at the levels it should have been over the past <br />few months. <br /> <br />4) <br /> <br />Agenda Development - This is an area where we would <br />be using the Deputy Clerk. Currently, this person <br />does not have the time to get involved in this work <br />area. <br /> <br />5) <br /> <br />Miscellaneous - The Deputy Clerk will be responsible <br />for maintaining the following documents: <br /> <br />a) <br /> <br />Developer Files - She will be keeping a' <br />closer tab to see that these are processed <br />properly. <br /> <br />b) <br /> <br />Easements - She will be maintaining a com- <br />plete file and log and seeing that all are <br />accomplished. This has been historically <br />neglected in Ramsey. <br /> <br />c) <br /> <br />Development Contract - She will be maintain- <br />ing these contracts until projects are com- <br />pleted and monitoring them into the future <br />if required. <br /> <br />Comments: The problems we are.witnessing here in Ramsey are n__odifferent <br />than in any other growth City. Consequently, we are going to have to <br />add personnel and also update facilities which we are currently working <br />on here at the Staff level. <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to approve/disapprove of the <br />request to add a Data Processing/Accounting Clerk. <br /> <br />LABOR NEGOTIATIONS: <br /> <br />Enclosure (D2-f) contains 'a tehtative copy of the police labor contract. <br />It should be noted that the basic labor contract language has been re- <br />viewed by the City Attorney in depth. <br /> <br />Background - The following background information is hereby submitted <br />on this case: <br /> <br /> <br />
