:'1 I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I I 2.4 Vacancies: A vacancy on the Organization shall be filled by the governing body of the party whose membership position on the Organization is vacant. 2.5 Additional Members: The Organization may,.with the ratification.of the governing bodies of all voting members.of the Organization, invite other units of government within ~he Rum River Watershed to also become parties to this Agreement. The governing body of such additional party shall appoint a'member to the Organization who shall have voting rights in accordance with the provisions of Section 2.2,- and in all respects thenceforth enjoy t~e full rights, duties, and obligations of this Agreement. 2.6 Compensation and ExPenses: The organization members shall not be entitled to compensation or reimbursement for expenses incurred in attending meetings, except to the extent that the governing body of a party might determine to compensate or reim- burse the expenses of the member it appoints, in which case the obligation to make such payments shall be that of the party and not that of the Organization. ,~ 2.7 officers: The Organization shall elect from its member- ship a chair, a-vice-chair, a secretary.and a treasurer and such other officers as it' deems necessary to reasonably carry out the purposes of' this Agreement. -All such officers shall hold office for a term of one year and until their successors have been elected by the Organization. An officer may serve only while a me.mb~r of-- the Organization and may be re-elected to an office. A vacancy in an.office shall be filled from the membership of the Organization by -3-
